Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday July 19th 2025

July 18th 2025, 2:36pm, By: Brendan Bunworth

Flemington Racing Tips

Flemington hosts Saturday racing this weekend with the Deane Lester Flemington Cup the feature. The inaugural race will be run over 2800m and the late racing journalist would be thrilled with the beginnings of the Listed race as he was an advocate for it over the past decade. The race starts at 3:45pm (AEST), with the first of the day starting at 12:05pm (AEST). The track will likely be a Soft5 and runners will run in fine conditions.

Brendan Bunworth has done the form to bring you his three Flemington best bets for day as well as his Quaddie selections. If you’re after more free tips for this weekend’s key meetings, then head over to our Racing Tips page!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, July 19th 2025

Race 1: ATA Trust /TAB We’re On Handicap - 12:05pm (AEST)

(3) Duchess Zou from the Maher yard looks the one to beat in the opening race of the day after displaying excellent running style after running on well over 1200m last start (3rd). Flemington and the extra 200m looks the goods here and with a senior jockey (Williams) replacing the emerging Declan Bates, if the speed is on early, WIllow should use his closing speed to his strength.

(4) Legacy Bay I tipped on here in a midweek race recent and he bolted in which was good for followers. Up in class here but will sit handy and be in the mix over the final 200m. The fav will have to pass him to beat him.

(2) Just For Show will get back and will want a track upgrade on the Friday night as he has very good form on the Dry.

(3) Duchess Zou WIN

$1.85 (3 Units)

Race 5: RMBL Investments Rising Star Final - 2:25pm (AEST)

(2) Pariah Pearl has 4 wins on the Soft and from barrier 3 she will settle on speed for Cartwright who has been riding well.. Last start at Lakeside on the Heavy she battled way very well for 2nd and this is her third run in since a freshen up so I reckon this is her Grand Final this prep. Loves the mile and will appreciate a steady tempo.

(3) Cindy Falls has raced in tougher races than this and is a good each-way hope. She won’t want a track upgrade though and blinkers on may help. Fourth run in this prep and should be 100 percent now.

(10) Jazz Affair is a very big chance if the track gets an upgrade to Good. Gets back in the races but closes off very well. First try over the mile and at Flemington though but you would think Flemington might be to her liking.

(2) Pariah Pearl WIN

$4.20 (2 Units)

Race 7: Deane Lester Flemington Cup - 3:45pm (AEST)

(8) Mormosa was beaten a head at Rosehill last start when he ran on from midfield over the final 200m. That race was over 2400m and he has proven extra distance is of no issues before so 2800m looks ideal. He is very fit now and will get back in the run but will need the track to remain Soft. Jamie Melham takes the ride and she usually rides very well in Listed and Open class races. The knock, well Mormosa hasn’t won in a year and a half.

(14) Mukatimil is racing very consistently and is having his first try over the 2800m. Willow takes the ride for the first time and he will be the likely fav. Just want to see him run the distance first.

(4) Bold Soul comes into serious calculations if the track is Good by this time of day. Is rock hard fit and should settle on speed. The Payne stable is in form and the horse does win one in every three starts.

(8) Mormosa WIN

$4.20 (2 Units)

Quaddie Tips

Leg two: 4, 8, 14
