Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday July 5th 2025

July 4th 2025, 1:59pm, By: Brendan Bunworth

Flemington Racing Tips

Flemington will host nine races on Saturday as the two-year-old Sprinters Final gets proceedings underway at 11:55am (AEST). The weather looks okay with 15 degrees forecast as runners take it up on a Soft track. On a week where one of Victoria’s best ever race callers has retired (Terry Bailey), Matt Hill will take the binoculars.

Brendan Bunworth has done the form to bring you his three Flemington best bets for day as well as his Quaddie selections. If you’re after more free tips for this weekend’s key meetings, then head over to our Racing Tips page!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, July 5th 2025

Race 2: Taj Rossi Series Final - 12:30pm (AEST)

(1) Buccleuch looks the one here on the back of his last two victories where he won after coming from off midfield. His latest win at this track he smashed them by 2L and was very strong to the line and the extra 200m here looks as though it will suit him. He does rise 2.5kg for the Payne stable but it did look like he could have won by even more last time. Egan stays on as jockey and he has won twice on him before.

(8) Bermondsey is third up and looks like he should be spot on for this. He drops 2.5kg for this and McNeil hops back on. Was 7th last start at Ballarat but did hit the line okay.

(3) Acora has placed twice on Dry tracks but likely won't get that here. Hit the line well last start at this track but was still 2L behind our top pick.

(1) Buccleuch WIN

$1.80 (4 Units)

Race 5: Banjo Patterson Series Final - 2:15pm (AEST)

(10) Captain Electric  ran on steadily for 7th at Caulfield last start, beaten only 2.5L but this track should be better for him. Two starts back he won at Mornington on the Heavy and a Soft track here should suit. His third up form is sound and although he will be 10 plus lengths off them at the 800m, I think he can round them up after a quick back up from last week.

(3) Virtuous Circle ran an improved race at this track last start and he is another who likes to get back in the run. He is very fit now and he has raced and performed well in better races than this. Does need to lift though. Stockdale stays on.

(4) Bold Soul won well here last start and he will be in front of his key rivals with 200m to go. HIs form is better on Good tracks though. Has won 3 Listed races and he loves Flemington.

(10) Captain Electric WIN

$3.80 (1 Unit)

Race 6: A.R. Creswick Stakes - 2:55pm (AEST)

(5) She’s An Artist is fast and is going for a hattrick of wins here. She has already proven that Flemington holds no issues and she picked them up pretty quickly with Williams on board over 1100m last start. On debut at Bendigo it was an easy 5L win at Bendigo after punters backed her into $1.50. Jamie Melham is on and she won on her at Bendigo.

(4) Soft Love ran on and was beaten a nose here last start and she will be one of the best finishers. I just can't see her giving She’s An Artist 3 or 4L and picking her up. Has won over this distance before. Should run a drum.

(9) Duchess Zou was a 4.5L Geelong winner last start and despite this being harder she is probably over the odds here. She is 2 from 2 on Soft tracks and Linda Meech has won on her previously.

(5) She’s An Artist WIN

$1.65 (5 Units)
