NFL Week 7 Monday Betting Tips
Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens
Monday 4am (AEDT)
Probably the pick of the early games sees the Ravens host the Lions from Baltimore. The Lions have been one of the standout teams in the AFC through the opening six weeks, starting the season with a 5-1 record and going 5-1 against the spread in that time also. They are coming off a solid win over the Buccaneers last week, in which they allowed just six points on the road.
The Ravens season has been a little more inconsistent to date, but they have still managed to rack up a 4-2 record through their opening six, going 4-2 against the spread as well. They too are coming off an impressive road win, downing the Titans in Tennessee by eight points.
The Lions start as slight underdogs on the road and I love them in that spot. I think there has been a touch of fools gold about the Ravens 4-2 record so far this season and this will be their first real test. Back the Lions to cover the spread here.

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas CIty Chiefs

Easily the pick of the afternoon games sees the Chiefs hosting the Chargers from Arrowhead Stadium. After a week one loss to the Lions, the Chiefs have hardly missed a beat this season, winning their next five straight games and covering the spread in four of them to sit atop the AFC West division. While their offence hasn’t been quite as dynamic as we’ve seen in recent seasons, their defence has picked up the slack, ranking 2nd in the league with just 14.7 points allowed per game.
On the contrary, the Chargers have a bottom 10 ranked defence in the league, allowing 24.8 points per game. They are 2-3 on the season, and while their offence has looked good behind No.1 rated QB Justin Herbert, they are struggling to keep up on the other side of the ball and as such, start as 5.5 point underdogs here.
The over seems to be the hot pick here amongst all tipsters but I’m actually leaning the other way. At 47.5 points this line seems a little high considering how well this Chiefs defence has been playing this season. In the six games the Chiefs have been involved in this season, the average total points is just 39.1 and only once has the total gone over 47.5.
