NFL 2022-23: Week 15 Monday Preview & Betting Tips

December 17th 2022, 6:07pm, By: Johnny Houston

NFL Week 15 Monday Betting Tips

A fantastic slate of NFL action is in store for us in Week 15 as we head into the final stretch of the season. As always, we have you covered with betting tips for all of the Monday action in the NFL below.

NFL Week 15 Monday Betting Tips

New York Giants at Washington Commanders

12.20pm (AEDT)

A massive NFC east divisional matchup headlines the Monday slate as the Washington Commanders host the New York Giants from 12.20pm. Many thought the NFC East would be one of the weaker teams in the league this season, but it has turned out to be by far the best, with a combined 36-14-2 record. Both the Commanders and Giants have a 7-5-1 record through the season and are desperate for a win to stay relevant in the playoff hunt.

The two teams squared off just two weeks ago with the game ending in a 20-20 tie. Since then, the Giants suffered a disappointing loss to the Eagles on the weekend while the Commanders will have had the benefit of a week off to prepare for this 2nd matchup.

Due to that, and the fact that they are at home, I like the look of the Commanders here. They have been one of the better teams against the spread in the back half of the season, going 6-1-1 over their last eight games ATS. Back them to cover the 4.5 point spread here.

Commanders -4.5

$1.90

Other Tips

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

Extremely important divisional matchup here between two teams that are still well and truly in the hunt for the lacklustre NFC South. A Saints win here would mean that the whole division is separated by just one game, and that seems only fitting amongst this list of teams that have been so inconsistent this season.

Saints -4 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)

Detroit Lions at New York Jets

Hard to look at any Lions game and not like the over at the moment. They have been going balls to the wall on offence, putting up 31.8 points per game over their last five, four of them wins. I think this one goes over as well.

Over 44.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)

Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans

The Texans have lost eight straight games and failed to cover the spread in six of those. They now come up against arguably the best offence in the league in the Chiefs. This 14 point line is a hefty one but considering the Chiefs were up 21-0 in  just over a quarter against the Broncos last week, I think they can cover here.

Chiefs -14 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)

Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears

The Eagles proved themselves to be arguably the top contender for the Super Bowl with a dominant win over the Giants on the weekend. This 9 point line on the road in Chicago is a little too many for my liking though. The Bears have lost their last five in a row but just one of those has come by more than 9 points.

Bears +9 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)

Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers

This one screams unders to me. Even though the line is at just 38.5, I think these two offences will struggle here against both of these defences, which have been underrated this season. The Panthers and Steelers rank 12th and 13th in total defence this season, while both are in the bottom 10 when it comes to offence.

Under 38.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)

Dallas Cowboys at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Cowboys crawled over the line against Houston in Week 14 to stay in contention in the NFC East. They have a 10-3 record on the season but sit two games behind the division leading Eagles. They start as 4.5 point favourites on the road but I’m leaning towards the over here instead. The Cowboys rank 3rd with 27.7 points per game this season while the Jags have been in some shootouts of late, their last three games averaging a total of 55.6.

Over 47.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)

Arizona Cardinals at Denver Broncos

Did the Broncos finally find their groove offensively last week against the Chiefs? In a tight loss, they put up more than 23 points for the first time this season, scoring 28 on the back of a strong game from Russel Wilson. Despite that, this has the feeling of an under play given the Broncos previous offensive form and the fact that Arizona will be without starting QB Kyler Murray.

Under 36.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)

New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders

The Patriots recorded a great win on the road in Arizona in Week 14 to stay alive in the AFC playoff hunt. They will be on the road again in Week 15 as they travel to Vegas. They start as 1.5 point favourites here and I like them at that line. They are 4-2-1 against the spread, on the road this season.

Patriots -1.5 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)

Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers seemed to have found their groove over the last few weeks, winning two of their last three including a great win over the Dolphins in Week 14. They are still in the hunt for the playoffs in the AFC and with some offensive weapons in Mike Williams and Keenan Allen back in the side they are looking a much more dangerous side.

Chargers -3 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)

Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another week where I’m just steering well clear of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers here. They were good in Week 13 with a win over the Saints but absolutely abysmal in Week 15, going down to the 49ers by 28 points. Too unpredictable for mine.
