The Eastern Conference playoffs come to a head this Monday with two massive Game 7s. We start in Detroit at 5:30 am AEST as the Pistons look to finish off the Magic, before shifting to Cleveland at 9:30 am for a winner-take-all showdown between the Cavaliers and Raptors. With seasons on the line, we’ve found the best value for this high-stakes double-header. Here are our top picks!
The Detroit Pistons return home as significant favourites after orchestrating a historic comeback to level the series at 3-3. Detroit effectively broke the Magic's spirit in Game 6, holding them to a record-setting drought where Orlando missed 23 consecutive shots and scored only one point over a ten-minute span. While Orlando's defence remains elite, their offensive collapse in high-pressure moments is a major concern heading into a hostile road environment. Detroit has found its rhythm through Cade Cunningham's leadership and a physical interior presence that has neutralised Orlando’s size. Expect the Pistons to ride their momentum and the energy of the home crowd to cover the 8.5-point line.
Cleveland hosts Toronto in a deciding Game 7 after a heart-stopping overtime finish in the previous outing. The Cavaliers have relied on Evan Mobley’s dominance in the paint to put immense pressure on Toronto’s rim protection. Although the Raptors are coming off an emotional win fuelled by Scottie Barnes' playmaking and a lucky bounce on an RJ Barrett game-winner, they face a steep uphill battle in Cleveland. The Cavaliers' disciplined ball movement and superior depth usually shine in second-half adjustments. While the Raptors have shown incredible grit to force this seventh game, Cleveland’s ability to capitalise on home-court advantage should allow them to pull away late and cover the spread.
