New York Knicks at Milwaukee Bucks

All the heavy-hitters are expected to be in action for this clash between the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks in what’s the third of four NBA Cup Quarterfinals. The winner will book their ticker into the final four to take on the Indiana Pacers on Friday. For the Knicks, they’ll be hoping to improve on an impressive 6-4 road record this season, although they’re yet to beat a top four team in the East on the road thus far. On the other hand, the Bucks boast an impeccable 9-1 record at home including eight in a row and will be brimming with confidence as a result. Recent trends say this is an extremely tough task for the Knicks, particularly considering they’ve lost each of their last seven games in this matchup. For this reason, I’m more than happy to be on the home side to cover the small spread.

Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers

Awaiting the winner of this one-game do-or-die clash between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers are the New Orleans Pelicans. The winner of these two Pacific Division Rivals will earn their place in the final four on Friday. Interestingly enough, the pair have already met twice this season, with the Lakers prevailing both times, once at home and once in Phoenix. However, the Suns were without at least two of their big three on both occasions, and will be rallying with both Devin Booker and Kevin Durant on this occasion. Regardless of their 0-2 record against the Lakers this season, the Suns will be quietly confident considering they’ve won eight of their last 10 games including six of their last seven on their travels. And with their two best players expected to suit up here, I like the chances of the Suns getting one back on the Lakers.
