Friday Night racing at Moonee Valley once again where the rail is out 7 metres the entire circuit and the current track condition is listed as a good 4. The weather forecasts suggests that the track will not receive any rain and will race in that Good 3-4 range this evening. Read on for our racing betting tips for this Friday, November 11th.
Moonee Valley Racing Tips - Friday, November 11th
Race 1: #1 - Magnetar @ $3.60 **Best Bet**
Great price for this unbeaten gelding who missed the start first-up but still proved too good for a moderate field. He looks to be above this grade and any price above $3 looks to be an overlay worth taking.
Race 2: #3 - Another Diamond @ $2.35
Tricky race with not a lot of value to be found. Clear top pick is Another Diamond though who is unbeaten this time in and looks to be able to progress past her current rating. She will go forward and give herself every chance given how we expect the track to play tonight.
Race 3: #2 - Dragonbite (EW) @ $13 / $3.60
An awful race on paper but one horse who on speed ratings appears to be over the odds and certainly worth a place bet in a very average maiden is Dragonbite. Tales Of War is the horse to beat but too short at $2.90. If he gets out to the $3.50 range he is worth a small bet also.
Race 4: #3 - Azurite @ $3.60
Azurite is racing in honest fashion and this 3000m race is certainly lacking of talent. At his current price he is the default option given his racing style but the confidence levels are low given he has only posted three wins in 22 career starts.
Race 5: #1 - It Is Written (EW) @ $6.50
A competitive race with Gun Case and Runson the top picks but they look to be too short in the market and the value lies with both It Is Written who loves the track as does Trevinder. Consider a first four with those runners.
Race 6: #3 - Temps Voluer (EW) @ $19 / $4.40
Temps Voluer is a very hard horse to catch but is proven to race much better after he has a few runs under his belt. Fourth-up now we think he can go forward from the nice draw with the apprentice Brendan Stockdale claiming three kilos and give a brave sight at big odds.
Race 7: #3 - Cauthen (EW) @ $7.50 / $2.05
A good race where the top pick is Chase The Horizon that looks to be a strong winning chance although we see no value in his current price of $1.70. Cauthen has ran well at Moonee Valley before and will be stalking the lead off the rail. Consider throwing Solsay ($61) into multiples.
Race 8: #6 - Mount Omei @ $2.35
A poor middle distance race for the mares where we are siding with the Sydney form that has been deadly all throughout the 2016 Spring Carnival. Mount Omei looks well suited and we expect she may get to a very backable $2.50+ come jump time.
