Flemington hosts racing in Victoria on Saturday and with four Listed races advertised, its a pretty good program for the middle of winter with the running of multiple finals. Race on starts at 11:55am (AEST) and the program concludes at 4:40pm (AEST). The track is rated as Soft7 and there isn’t any rain forecast on raceday. The Winter Championship Final is the feature that comes up in race 7. My three bets bets are below!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, July 4th 2026
Race 2: Taj Rossi Series Final 1600m - 12:30pm (AEST)
(3) Star Of Macedon has Placed in all 3 career starts and his last start saw him charge home at this track to finish 3rd from a wide barrier (14). He has drawn more favourably in 7 this time and the step up to the mile looks ideal. Didn’t get much luck here last start and can make amends.
(1) Fontein Jewel beat Star Of Macedon here last start He will want the track to stay in the Sot or Heavy range which it should and from the inside draw he should get another charmed run just behind them. Will have to race with a weight swing to Star Of Macedon though.
(4) Ko Phangan usually goes forward and will want a slowly run race so the back markers can’t get into it. Stuck on pretty well for 4th behind the above last start.
(3) Star Of Macedon WIN
$3.40 (1 unit)
Race 4: Sharp EIT Mahogany Challenge Final 2500m - 1:40pm (AEST)
(14) Kings Reflection ran on well at this track in the Heat on June 20th (3rd) and from a good draw (4) he should beagle to position up nicely around midfield on the outside before he lets down along the home straight. He had a bad draw last start (14) but Harry Coffey stays on and gets 2kg less. Is third up and he Placed last campaign when third upland it does look as though he liked Flemington last time.
(13) Sunsprite comes over from NSW after running on very well her last couple. Has her first look at Flemington and will likely go back in the run for the first half of the race. Consistent filly who is worth an each-way thought.
(5) Brillanteeza has drawn well in barrier 2 and has won 2 races on Soft tracks. The Payne stable is running hot and got wins during the week and the extra distance looks helpful for this horse. Last start Bendigo win was tough and the extra 100m is of no issue.
(14) Kings Reflection WIN
$3.10 (2 units)
Race 9: Silver Bowl Series Final 1600m - 4:40pm (AEST)
(7) Lucky Lucky Boom will go forward from barrier 5 and gets an experienced jockey on here with Craig WIlliams on top for Danny O’Brien. The gelding has a good record over the mile and he has Placed at Flemington before. He led here 2 starts back when 7th but he did do a lot of work to get across from barrier 11 that day.
(3) Obvious was a 2.5L winner here last time and really enjoyed the 1600m. Will want it to stay a Soft 7 or worse and will be one of the strongest late.
(1) Clever Trever has won his last 4 for the Payne stable and is one of the most popular horses going around at the moment. Got up by a neck last start when $1.80 fav and the issue will be if he can carry 60kg from the wide barrier 12. Is the favourite again and Billy Egan is on.
(7) Lucky Lucky Boom Each-Way
$6.50/$2.20 (0.50 units)
