It’s Monday night football for Round 19 of the 2013 NRL season. Now that all the excitement or heart ache of the State of Origin is over, its back to business for all of the stars. Well most of the stars. South Sydney’s star Fullback Greg Inglis will miss tonight’s game with a knee injury. This might just be what the doctor ordered for the struggling Dragons.
It’s no secret the Rabbitohs are the better team here but this is Monday night football and strange things happen on Monday’s in the NRL. Earlier in the season Cronulla beat the Rabbitohs in Monday Night Football. Although I don’t believe the Dragons can steal a victory here tonight, a 16.5 point head start is very appealing.
This line seems to be inflated due to the Sydney Roosters keeping the Dragons scoreless ( 36-0) back on July 6th. That coupled with the public’s love for top of the ladder Rabbitohs. Fullback Josh Dugan looked great in Origin III and he'll need to fire up tonight to keep the Dragons hopes of a top 8 finish alive.
Both teams will be fresh coming off Round18 bye's, maybe even a little rusty. This may just favor the Dragons, who have a good all time record against the Rabbitohs ( 14-6)
