AFL Round 20 wraps up with a pair of intriguing Sunday matchups as Brisbane host Port Adelaide from 1:10pm at the Gabba before North Melbourne take on St Kilda at Marvel Stadium from 3:15pm. AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 20 Sunday Slate

AFL Fantasy Round 20 Sunday: Where to Attack?

With only two games on the slate, there are some obvious matchups to attack, but it is also important not to overload your lineup with players from one team or one position. Balance will be key this week.

Brisbane have been one of the strongest fantasy teams in the competition from a defensive perspective, limiting scoring across almost every position. Interestingly though, the one exception has been key forwards, with the Lions conceding more fantasy points to that role than any other side in the AFL. Port Adelaide are generally well balanced themselves, but with Brisbane expected to control large portions of the game, I still slightly favour Lions players in this matchup, particularly through the midfield and forward line.

The later game between North Melbourne and St Kilda is where I expect the majority of fantasy points to come from. The Saints remain one of the highest-scoring fantasy teams in the league thanks to their willingness to chip the ball around and accumulate uncontested marks through their defenders and wingers. The flip side is they also give up plenty of fantasy production to similar outside players.

This shapes as the more free-flowing contest of the two, so I'm looking to target outside runners in the Saints-Roos game, while focusing on Brisbane's inside midfielders and contested ball winners in the early match.

Game script: I'll be building around St Kilda wingers, running defenders, North Melbourne intercept defenders and Brisbane inside midfielders.

AFL Fantasy Round 20 Sunday – Our Value Fantasy Picks

James Tunstill ($7,320)Tunstill is hard to overlook as a value option this week after producing 81 fantasy points against West Coast, finishing with 20 disposals and five marks. If he can add a few extra tackles in what should be a more contested game against Port Adelaide, another strong return at this salary looks well within reach.

Tobie Travaglia ($6,850)Travaglia has looked a fraction rusty since returning to the St Kilda side, but his game style has always translated well to fantasy scoring. Against a North Melbourne team that generally allows opponents to find uncontested possession, this could be the breakout performance we've been waiting for.

AFL Fantasy Round 20 Sunday – Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks

Mattaes Phillipou ($11,800) Phillipou received a reality check when he was dropped earlier in the season, but he has returned a completely different player. A permanent midfield role has produced disposal counts of 25, 24 and 28 across his last three games, resulting in fantasy scores of 84, 117 and 99. Given both his role and current form, he looks close to a must-have on this slate.

Jase Burgoyne ($11,340) This pick goes slightly against the preferred game script, but Burgoyne's expanded midfield role is impossible to ignore. With Zak Butters unavailable, he was one of Port Adelaide's biggest beneficiaries last week, collecting 24 disposals and 110 fantasy points. If that midfield usage continues, he has the ceiling to comfortably outperform his salary.

AFL Fantasy Round 20 Sunday – Our Premium Fantasy Picks

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera ($17,060) Wanganeen-Milera was well held by a hard tag last week, but this looks like the perfect opportunity for him to bounce back at Marvel Stadium. Prior to that performance, he had produced fantasy scores of 110, 136, 160 and 119, reminding everyone why he is one of the premier DFS options in the competition. In what should be an open, high-possession game, he once again shapes as one of the safest premium selections on the slate.
