AFL Round 23’s Sunday slate has another traditional three games for us to sink our daily fantasy teeth into. Things get underway with an enticing clash between two of the leagues bottom three sides with North Melbroune hosting Richmond down at Ninja Stadium. Then we move up to the SCG where Sydney will host Geelong in a game that will be critical for the Cats securing a top two spot to end the season. Finally the hammer game gives us the top game stacking option of the day with the Western Bulldogs hosting the last placed West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. We were faced with a similar situation last Sunday but the Eagles stood tall and gave the better team all they could handle. But this is a new week and I think we can expect the Bulldogs stacks to be the top strategy on this slate.
As always, this is all about the daily fantasy and this Sunday slate draws another massive $50,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $50,000+ Sunday
AFL $5,000+ Sunday High Roller ($150 Entry)
AFL $3,000+ Sunday Mini ($2 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 23 Sunday
AFL Fantasy Round 23 Sunday: Where to Attack?
Let’s start with the obvious. Game stacking the 76 point favourite. The Western Bulldogs face the Eagles who are giving up the second most points in the league to inside midfielders over the last 10 games (over 7 points per game above league average), the most points in the league to general forwards and above average points to key forwards. Across the back line hasn’t been anything significant with only attacking half backs standing out at 3 points per game above league average during this time.
If you are looking for an alternative here head straight to the North vs Richmond game in Tasmania. No surprise that both sides are conceding a stack of points, but I would be looking to load up on North Melbourne given the game location. Richmond have given up the most points in the league to inside midfielders and the second most to key forwards over the last 10 games. In addition, the Tigers give up the most points in the league to the back line positions, an area where North love to over possess the ball.

AFL Fantasy Round 23 Sunday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Rhylee West ($9,700) is the Bulldogs top small forward and has been in top flight form this season. As noted above, the Eagles are giving up the most points in the league to general forwards so you can really take your pick with the Bulldogs forwards. But West has shown great upside this year for this price point with a season high 109 points earlier in the year against Essendon and 92 points a few weeks ago against the Lions.
Bailey Scott ($6,750) should get plenty of opportunity this week with the expectation that he will not be the sub, and we have been gifted a near minimum price after two sub impacted games. As outlined at the top, this is the best matchup in the league for wings and backs against the Tigers, and I love stacking up North defenders on this slate with them playing down at Hobart. Look to pair Bailey up with either Caleb Daniel ($12,690) or Colby McKercher ($14,500) if you have the salary.
AFL Fantasy Round 23 Sunday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Joel Freijah ($10,650) is fresh off an 81 point game last week against Melbourne and has flashed a season high of 116 points this year. His best scores generally come with him floating forward and hitting the scoreboard, which is certainly on the cards in this matchup where the Bulldogs are expected to win by over 70 points. The alternate option at this price point is Ryley Sanders ($10,270) who will likely get opportunity as an inside midfielder if this game goes as expected.
Aaron Naughton ($13,060) has undoubtedly been the form key forward in the competition over the last 7 games. Through this stretch he has averaged 100 fantasy points and kicked 32 goals. This matchup as you would expect should be a dream for the Bulldogs key forwards and your only decision is whether to go with Naughton or Sam Darcy ($14,160) or stack them both up together.
AFL Fantasy Round 23 Sunday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Ed Richards ($15,820) is one of many premium options in the midfield for the Bulldogs. All are great plays in this matchup against West Coast, but I love Richards price point at under $16k with an upside of 130 fantasy points.
Tim English ($17,170) will have the third best matchup in the league against the Eagles who are giving up just under 10 points per game above the league average to opposition rucks over the last 10 games. Over the last 10 games, English has gone under 100 points just one time and is averaging 112 over his last 6 contests. Now if you don’t want to spend all the way up for English on this slate, the other attractive ruck option is taking the value of the Swans. With Brody Grundy out, Sydney have Peter Ladhams ($10,640) starting as ruck with Hayden McLean ($7,440) chopping out. To make this even more attractive they face Geelong who have given up the second most points in the league to rucks over the last 10 games.
