PGA Tour: Charles Schwab Challenge Betting Tips

The Field
Just a few days after he was arrested and spent the morning of Round 2 of the PGA Championship in a holding cell, it’s hard to believe that the Scottie Scheffler will be making a start this week in Texas.
The World No.1 will headline a pretty stacked field considering the short turnaround from the major, a field that also includes big names such as Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Brian Harman.
Former winners of the Charles Schwab Challenge who will be looking to add another trophy to the case include Emiliano Grillo, Daniel Berger, Justin Rose and Kevin Kisner.
The Course
The Charles Schwab Challenge, which debuted 77 years ago in 1946, stands as one of the oldest ongoing PGA Tour events on the calendar. Remarkably, it has exclusively taken place at a single course: the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
The course itself is a Par 70, stretching just beyond 7,200 yards. While the greens don’t pose an immense challenge, locating them can be tricky. The tight fairways, flanked by trees, demand precision off the tee. Additionally, the small green complexes add complexity to the approach shots. Water hazards come into play on six holes. As we analyze the field, our focus will be on players with strong performance from tee to green this week.
Betting Tips
Jordan Spieth ($23/Top 20 $2.10)
How can you look past the Texas native at one of his favourite events of the season. Has a stellar record at Colonial, having made the cut in 9 of his last 10 trips there including a win and eight top 10 finishes in that span. Has been solid over hte last two weeks without setting the world alight, finishing T29 at the Wells Fargo and T43 at the PGA Championship.
Brendon Todd ($111/Top 40 $2.20)
For a bit more value this weekend I like the look of Brendon Todd. The 38 year old has made the cut in his last five straight events, three of them elevated events, and has a really solid record at Colonial. In the last three years he has racked up T8, T3 and T57 finishes.
