2022 FIFA World Cup

It has felt like an eternity since the 2018 edition in Russia, but the 2022 FIFA World Cup is finally just around the corner. 32 of the world’s top football nations will head to Qatar in November to contest the 22nd World Cup and of course, Australia will be one of them!

Now that all nations have been designated to one of eight groups, let’s take a look at who’s matching up with who in the first stage of the tournament, as well as all the important dates for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Group Stage: Monday, November 21, 2022 – Saturday, December 3, 2022

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

Each team will play the other members of their group once, with the top two performing teams progressing to the knockout phase.
