NBA Betting Tips: Wednesday, 6th of April
Charlotte Hornets at Miami Heat
FTX Arena, 9:30am AEDT
Looking to bounce back from embarrassing last start defeat to the 76ers, the Hornets will continue their road trip when they visit Miami on Wednesday. Their 30-point defeat to the 76ers seemingly came out of nowhere as they had won eight of their 10 games prior. Regardless, the Hornets need to regroup ahead of some huge games to finish the regular season.
The Heat clearly have their sights set on clinching the #1 seed in the East and are certainly in the form to do it. While others around them have stumbled, they’ve managed to win each of their last four games, three of which were on the road. The Heat now return home for this clash against sitting two games clear of their closest challenger.
Both teams will be eyeing off an important win in this meeting, but I believe it’ll be the Hornets who will be the hungrier dog of the two in the fight. They currently occupy ninth spot in the East but have the opportunity to climb into eighth with a win and a Hawks loss, which would be massive for their playoff hopes. That alone should inspire them to fight all the way in this one.

Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls
United Center, 10am AEDT
The undermanned Bucks have lost a couple of really disappointing games on the spin at home and will be keen to get back to some of their better form ahead of the playoffs. They were defeated by six points last time out against the Mavericks and have now given up a whopping 116+ points in each of their last five games. Still, the Bucks remain a decent chance to defend their title this season.
Still lacking the ability to match it with the top tier teams in the competition, the Bulls were poor 18-point losers on their home deck last time out. Its’ remarkable how poor their record against the elite is this season and it’s something that will put a lot of doubt in their heads come playoff time. Regardless, the Bulls have had a good rebound season and will likely finish in the top six in the East.
The Bucks have owned this matchup with the Bulls this season, winning all three meetings against them. Their most recent clash was a 126-98 Bucks win in Milwaukee where the home side led by 13+ points at the end of every break. It’s hard to ignore this type of matchup dominance and as a result, I’ll be taking the Bucks to get the job done once again.

San Antonio Spurs at Denver Nuggets
Ball Arena, 11am AEDT
The Spurs are finishing off the regular season in style and now look almost certain to clinch a spot in the Play-In tournament. They took care of the undermanned and inexperienced Trail Blazers in a double-head to begin April and have now won six of their last seven games. Admittedly, they’ve had a really easy schedule of late, but they’re still winning games they wouldn’t have earlier in the season.
Led by likely back-to-back MVP winner Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets are now in a really good position to finish in the top six in the West. They took care of Anthony Davis and the Lakers in their most recent outing, which made it five wins from their last six games. The Nuggets are now two games safe inside the top six with three games to play.
The Spurs have been in great form over the last couple of weeks, but a big reason for that is the play of All-Star Dejounte Murray who won’t be suiting up for this matchup. His absence coupled with home court advantage gives the Nuggets a fantastic opportunity to lock in a top six spot. I expect them to do it in style.
