2018-19 NBA Betting Tips: Saturday 1st December

November 30th 2018, 3:32pm, By: admin

We’ve got a huge 11-game slate of NBA action taking place this Saturday and there’s some great matches set to play out. We’ve taken a look at all of them and found three value plays that we’ve provided previews and tips for. Good luck to all following!

NBA Betting Tips December 1st

Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers (11am AEDT)

The Wizards come into this match-up against 76ers in some really bad form. They’ve been the most disappointing team this season by a long way and are currently ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, but have a record of just 8-13. Only two of those wins have come on the road, where they are just 2-8 this season. They’re going to need to dig deep to fight out a finish against the 76ers here.

The 76ers come into this with the best home record in the league. They’ve amassed an 11-1 record in front of their home fans and are 15-8 overall, which has them in third position in the Eastern Conference standings. Jimmy Butler looks at home in a Sixer uniform, Ben Simmons has picked up his play and Joel Embiid is playing like a man on an MVP run.

The Sixers will win this, it’s just a matter of by how much. Both teams corresponding home and away form leads us to believe this one will be a blowout, so we’re happy to take them at the line here.

76ers -7.5 Handicap

$1.92

Memphis Grizzlies at Brooklyn Nets (11:30am AEDT)

The Grizzlies have been one of the surprise packets this season and have willed themselves to an impressive 12-8 record on the back of a number of big scalps. They’re now sitting in sixth position in the Western Conference standings and have a chance to jump up a few spots with a win in Brooklyn on Saturday. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley continue to lead the way, with rookie Jaren Jackson Jr playing at a high also.

The Nets have dropped off a bit after a decent start and now find themselves in 10th position in the Eastern Conference standings with an 8-14 record. The nasty injury to Caris LeVert seems to have taken a toll, with their offensive and defensive numbers both dropping off since his departure. They’ll be looking to improve their home court record, recording just three wins from 10 games there so far.

The Grizzlies are by far the form team coming into this and we think their experience and skill will prove too much for the Nets, who have struggled to make their home arena a fortress. Very happy to back in the Grizz at near even odds.

Grizzlies to Win

$1.88

Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs (12pm AEDT)

The Rockets have copped one of the hardest starts to the season of any team this season, with injuries and players out of form really making it hard for them to find consistency. Their struggles have them in second last position in the West, but it’s not all doom and gloom as they’re still 9-11 and only two games outside the playoff picture. James Harden continues to put up amazing numbers, now he just needs help from the rest of the squad.

The Spurs absolutely capitulated in their most recent outing against the Timberwolves. Amazingly, they only scored nine points in the whole of the second quarter, while giving up 29 on the other end. Their record now stands at 10-11, which has them in 12th position in the closely contested Western Conference standings. It’ll be interesting to see how they bounce back from such a demoralizing loss on Thursday.

Chris Paul is a real chance to return from injury for this one, which would give them the boost they need. Even if he doesn’t return, we still feel that they’ll be too strong for the struggling Spurs here, who are sure to have taken a hit to their confidence from their last game.

Rockets to Win
