A-League Grand Final Betting Tips
Perth Glory vs Sydney FC

Fans of both Perth Glory and Sydney FC have gotten what they deserve this season, with their two sides finishing first and second on the ladder and going on to make it to the Grand Final. They’ve been the best of the bunch all season and now get the chance to write their names in history when they meet at the beautiful Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday night!
Perth Glory
Perth Glory have quite clearly been the best team all year and finished on top of the ladder by eight points with just three losses from their 27 fixtures. However, the week off that they earned was nearly their undoing in their semi-final clash with Adelaide, where they would scrape through via a penalty shootout! It was a thrilling match with great play from both sides and one that Perth should consider themselves lucky to get out of.
Sydney FC
Sydney FC put together yet another terrific season where they would finish second on the ladder, only bettered by the top of the table Glory. Their 16-4-7 record didn’t quite reach the heights of their 2017-18 campaign, although they have a chance to go one step further this season as they play their part in the Grand Final for the second consecutive year and look for their fourth title all-time. Sydney look to be peaking at the right time this year and come into this after their 6-1 thrashing of rivals Melbourne Victory in the semi-finals.
Head-to-head
Interestingly, Perth Glory only lost three games this season, but two of those losses came at the hands of Sydney FC. In fact, the Sky Blues have defeated Glory in four of their last five meetings, outscoring them 13 goals to six in the process. While we appreciated Glory are a far better team this year than they’ve been in the past, the 2-1 H2H season record Sydney have over them would surely be in their minds ahead of this huge clash.
Prediction
We really couldn’t ask for more as fans of soccer in Australia with the two best teams going head-to-head in the Grand Final at the tremendous new Optus Stadium in Perth. We expect it to be a really competitive clash with the potential to be high-scoring, as both teams have been finding the back of the net with ease of late. However, there can only be one team that lifts the trophy at the end of the day, and we believe it’ll be Sydney FC in an upset. Sydney are three-time champions and one-time runners up in the A-League, while Perth are 0/1 in Grand Final appearances. All things considered, we expect experience to play a big part in crowning Sydney FC the champions of the 2018-19 season.
