We hit on two of our three Boxing Day tips to continue a great season of EPL betting tips. We now shift our focus to the last weekend of 2018 and provide previews and our best betting tips for EPL Match Day 20.
The first of three games we like on Sunday morning is the Tottenham Hotspur vs Wolverhampton Wanderers fixture. This will be the second meeting between these teams this season. Tottenham won the first duel by three goals to two on the Wolves home deck.
The Spurs come into this in magnificent form with 12 wins from their past 14 league appearances. They’ve won each of their past five games and are coming off a 5-0 win over the Cherries mid-week.
The wolves have been by far the best of the three promoted teams this season, and have been decent in their last five with three wins, one draw, and one loss. They’re currently in 11th position on the table and will be looking to jump up a few spots with a softer draw in the near future.
The Spurs are far too good here and should make light work of the inexperienced Wolves here. The 5-0 win last weekend was really impressive and have them in second position in the standings. The Handicap looks too good to pass up here.
Playing at the same time as the previous preview is the Watford vs Newcastle United fixture. This is the second meeting between these teams this season. The first ended in a 1-0 win to Newcastle on their home deck.
Watford come into this home game with some solid enough form having won their two previous league fixtures prior to losing to Chelsea last weekend. They Hornets are currently in 10th position on the table with an 8-3-8 record, which is more than enough to make their fans happy.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are coming off a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of league leaders Liverpool mid-week, which is one we’re happy to forgive. The Black-and-White stripes have won four games this season and sit 15th on the table.
The Hornets have had a mixed bag at home this season with five wins and five losses from their 10 games. However, against a struggling Newcastle outfit we feel that near even odds is great value.
The final game we’ve found value in is the Sunday morning duel between old rivals Liverpool and Arsenal. This will be the second meeting between these teams this season. The first ended in a 1-1 draw on Arsenal’s home floor.
Liverpool couldn’t have played the first 19 games of the season any better and still remain undefeated. A few bizarre results for rivals Manchester City has the Red clear on top by six points heading into the new year. Another big result against the Gunners will have them in really good stead going forward.
The Gunners have found plenty of trouble trying to close out games in recent weeks and look inferior to the outfit that went 22 games undefeated all competitions not too long ago. They’re lucky the other big clubs around them have been dropping points as well, but can’t rely on that for too much longer.
The Reds are impossible to bet against at the moment and are disposing of teams with will. We have them winning this by 2+ against an out of sorts Arsenal team.
