We hit on just one of three tips in last weekend’s EPL betting tips as Burnley survived for a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in a big upset. We’ll look to bounce back this weekend as we preview Week 27 of the EPL season and give our tips below.
EPL Week 27 Betting Tips
Tottenham vs Arsenal (Saturday 11.30pm AEDT)
The game of the round will see the massive North London Derby played from Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. It’s a great result for Aussie fans as the early game is at a somewhat watchable time. The two teams are on the outer of the top four, sitting in fifth and sixth place. Tottenham in particular can move into the top four with a win here, as they currently trail Chelsea by just one point, with the Blues losing their last two games.
Before a 2-2 draw with Liverpool on the weekend, Tottenham had won their previous four EPL games in a row behind some great play by star striker Harry Kane. Arsenal on the other hand, had a horror month, winning just 3 of 10 games before a great 5-1 win over Everton in Week 26.
New Arsenal recruit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played his first game for the club against Everton, starting up front and scoring a goal for the Gunners. He’ll be a great acquisition for the club going forward, and given their new life after a big win over Everton, we think they have what it takes to win ‘away from home’ at Wembley here.

Manchester City vs Leicester City (Sunday 4.30am AEDT)
Manchester City suffered a slight slip up to their great season as they could only manage a 1-1 draw with Burnley in Week 26. They are still extremely comfortable on top of the EPL table, leading Manchester United by 13 points. They will likely just have to go through the motions to take out this year’s title, but face a tough test as Leicester City come to town Sunday morning.
Leicester are currently in 8th place on the EPL table with a 9-8-9 record through their 26 games. They’ll be eyeing off a return to European competition this season and can move to within seven points of Arsenal in 6th place with a win here. The Foxes are the highest scoring team in the EPL outside of the big six clubs, but maintain just a +3 goal difference with a defence that has been fairly leaky this season.
Manchester City will want to rebound after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Burnley on the weekend. They scored exactly three goals in all four previous games before the Burnley contest, and coming up against the Leicester defence here we think this has the potential to be another high scoring match. Back the OVER on total goals.

Newcastle vs Manchester United (Monday 1.15am AEDT)
After drawing their last two games and winning just two of their last 10, Newcastle are now entrenched in the relegation battle, currently sitting just one point above Stoke in 18th place. They have a really tough run of games coming up, with Man U, Liverpool and Tottenham all in their next five matches.
Manchester United had a bit of a shuffle around in the transfer period, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan departing for Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez joining the Red Devils. It makes an already dominant forward line even better with Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata in top form.
Will be an extremely tough contest for Newcastle here, even at home. Manchester Untied start as $1.62 favourites which we actually think is great value, even away from home. Considering Newcastle haven’t defeated Manchester in their last six attempts, we think the Red Devils should be closer to $1.30 here.
