2016-17 EPL: Week 15 Preview & Betting Tips

December 8th 2016, 6:23pm, By: C.McGregor9

Week 15 kicks off this Saturday, and with it we bring you another week of EPL Previews and Betting Tips. We have previews and tips for all of the big games, including match of the round Manchester United vs Tottenham.

Arsenal vs Stoke City (Sunday 2am AEDT)

The Gunners will enter this match with a lot of confidence after finishing their Champions League group on the top of the table and after their 4-1 demolish of West Ham last week they have moved into second position on the Premier League table. The side has won their last two league matches in convincing fashion and a lot of it has to do with the form of Alexis Sanchez. We predicted at the start of the season that he would have a big season (tipped him for golden boot) and he has begun to deliver. He has scored five goals in their last two league games, including an incredible hat-trick last week that was capped off with a goal of pure class.

Meanwhile Stoke City have turned their season around and have climbed out of the relegation zone into ninth spot on the ladder. Their three wins of their past five matches has released a lot of pressure and it could cause the players to slack off in a tough meeting against the Gunners on the road.

Arsenal haven’t lost in their last 14 home meetings with Stoke City and during that period they have kept eight clean sheets. We are predicting Arsenal to keep the foot down and earn the win in this one.

TIP: HT/FT – Arsenal/Arsenal - $1.80 with William Hill

Leicester City vs Manchester City (Sunday 4.30am AEDT)

The Foxes will enter this match on the back of a humiliating loss in the Champions League. The 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Porto doesn’t correctly reflect the side that was put on the park. A lot of their key players were rested as they had wrapped up top spot. However, their form in the Premier League has left a lot to be desired and they are currently sitting in 16th position and haven’t won a game in their last five league matches.

Manchester City will enter this match on the back of a disappointing loss on home soil against Chelsea. The side grabbed an early lead but eventually went on to lose 3-1 as they were outclassed. However, we don’t expect them to be sitting back this weekend and we believe they will apply a lot of pressure and it will result in the side earning the three competition points.

TIP: Manchester City to win - $1.70 with CrownBet

Manchester United vs Tottenham (Monday 1.15am AEDT)

The Red Devils still can’t catch a break at the moment as for the third straight match they let a 1-0 lead slip due to a late equaliser. A clumsy effort from Fellani allowed Everton to convert from the penalty spot. In all three matches Manchester United were the better side which leaves them wondering what could have been. They should have converted on the opportunities they created and they only have themselves to blame. They are up against the Spurs this weekend and it will be hard for them to create opportunities against the side with the best defence in the league.

Tottenham may have the best defence but they do struggle to find the back of the net themselves. However, they did score five goals on the weekend with Harry Kane grabbing a hat-trick. He is key to the side as when he is scoring goals, they are winning games. He has never scored against Manchester United though.

The Red Devils have only won two of their last eight league meetings with the Spurs. We are predicting that trend to continue as the two sides split the competition points.

TIP: Draw - $3.40 with Sportsbet

Liverpool vs West Ham (Monday 3.30am AEDT)

West Ham will face their third big team in a row after facing Manchester United and Arsenal in the last two weeks. They should enter the match with slight confidence though as they were able to earn the double against them last season. It was the first time they have beaten the Reds at Anfield and we don’t think they will be able to do that back-to-back but we do believe they will leave with competition points.

Liverpool looked as if it would finally be able to celebrate as they climbed to the top of the table. However, it was short lived as injuries have struck their impeccable front line and they suffered an embarrassing 4-3 loss against Bournemouth on the weekend. Despite Countinho, Sturridge and Ings on the sidelines, the side is still scoring goals. However, missing this amount of talent will impact the side and they will settle for a draw on Monday morning.

TIP: Draw - $5.50 with Ladbrokes
