2015 NFL: Week 15 Preview & Betting Tips

December 17th 2015, 10:53pm, By: admin

Just three weeks left in the regular NFL season for 2015 and after struggling on the punt last week, hopefully we can turn it around with our NFL Week 15 betting tips.

_ _ _

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at St. Louis Rams (Friday, Dec. 18 at 12:25pm AEST)

The Rams will be very keen to fine a win at their last home game of the season, especially with relocation talks up in the air for next year. However, the Rams haven't impressed this year, so you wouldn't be surprised if they lost - even to a mediocre team like Tampa Bay.

If the Rams are to win this game they will have to play like they did last week. After really struggling for quite a stretch, the Rams turned it on against the Lions, winning 21-14 in a game that saw them rush for a season high 203 yards. It was a real turnaround for a team that is the 31st-ranked offence. The Rams also improved on the defense last week, holding the Lions to 331 yards after allowing over 500 to Arizona the week before.

The consensus seems to be that if the Rams can stop Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin, then they could certainly win. Although they will be confident after their win last week, it's going to be a tough ask to stop Martin and I think the Bucs can plug their holes better than the Rams. If this ends up coming down to a battle on the offense, then the Rams simply rely too much on Todd Gurley and quite frankly, Gurley hasn't been getting it done. Tough game to call, but think the value is with Tampa Bay.
Tip: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the line (+3.0) - $1.82 at Sportsbet

Carolina Panthers at New York Giants (Monday, Dec. 21 at 5:00am AEST)

Not many would have guessed the Panthers would be going into this game against the Giants late in the season undefeated. They are 13-0 and are only the ninth team in history to start a season like that. Can they go undefeated for the entire season? The last time a team went undefeated was the Patriots in 2007. I wouldn't rate them anywhere near as good as that Super Bowl winning team and actually wouldn't be too surprised if their streak came to an end this Sunday in New York. I've underestimated the Panthers before, however, so I will be treading carefully.

The Panthers come into this game with a couple of key injuries, including losing cornerback Bene Benwikere last week. They wil also be without running back Jonathan Stewart. The Giants will certainly need everything to gel if they are going to win, but I just think there is slightly more value with the Giants at the line at home.
Tip: Giants at the line (+4.0) - $1.92 at CrownBet

Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles (Monday, Dec. 21 at 12:30pm AEST)

The Cardinals are on a seven-game winning streak and looking the goods to take out their division. They average a league best 417.5 yard average per game and are quite simply the best offense in the game right now and so this ends up being all about the Eagles defense. Unfortunately I don't think the Eagles can get the job done. They lost three games to pretty average offensive teams in November and despite desperately needing this win to keep their playoff hopes alive, will likely find this too tough. Yes they have looked far better the last two games and this game is at home, but this Cardinals team is in a league of their own at the moment.
Tip: Arizona Cardinals at the line (-3.5) - $1.92 at Sportsbet

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints (Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 12:30pm AEST)

What an exciting Monday night primetime game as two very average teams fight it out with no playoff implications! This one ends up being about pride and probably about rosters and staff fighting it out to prove themselves worthy of consideration in 2016.

The Saints are coming off a rare victory last week and actually showed real signs of improvement in that win over Tampa Bay. The Lions, meanwhile, have lost two in a row after playing okay in November. It was the Saints defense last week that really impressed and I think that's where they will win this game. The Lions simply wont score enough and the Saints should win by at least a touchdown.
Tip: New Orleans Saints at the line (-2.5) - $1.80 at CrownBet
