Cranbourne will host Friday night racing with a nine race card with the first race starting at 5:45pm (AEDT). The maidens will get experience racing later than usual, racing in the first couple of races, while the Pinker Pinker Plate looks a cracking affair in race eight, running over 2025m.
There has been no rain this week, and runners will be running on a Good4. My best three best of the night are below, alongside the Quaddie tips, and I have tipped on-pace runners to hopefully go well on the night.

Cranbourne Racing Tips: Friday, October 9th 2026
Race 2: Settlers Run Maiden Plate 1200m - 6:15pm (AEDT)
(10) In A Tizzy looks the winner after impressing last campaign and then following that up with a winning trial at Cranbourne on September 14. She is quick and she should roll straight to the lead so the jump out of the barriers is important. Is first up but the is a bit of a spruik about this mare and from barrier 1 she gets the shortest way home.
(1) Big Kapow looks to be the only danger if there is one. He was backed to win at Moe last start but finished 2nd on a Good4. Went forward that day and I think he will share the lead with In A TIzzy.
(8) Dama Royale has placed twice on the track and is another on who goes forward. If she can settle 3rd behind the leaders then she could be the blow out at 30-1.
(10) In A Tizzy WIN
$1.40 (4 Units)
Race 6: Frankston Sand & Soil Mini Mix Handicap 1600m - 8:15pm (AEDT)
(7) Hydrothermal has drawn well in 6 and might be able to lead this field. Won at Geelong after leading 2 starts back and then was a good 3rd at Bendigo on a Good3 last start. Ethan Brown hops back on and he has won on top before. First try over the journey here but looks like he might like the mile.
(5) Cushioned ran on well for 4th last start at Geelong and she might enjoy seeing this trip for the second time. The only knock is that she hasn't done that well on Dry tracks before. It looks as though she is going to be trained as a stayer.
(8) Rockzino gets her first try on Dry ground after running top 3 in all career starts. Last start she won after settling well but then drifting back to midfield. Looks to be a versatile type and has always raced well with Jordan Childs on top.
(7) Hydrothermal WIN
$3.60 (2 Units)
Race 8: Highview Accounting - Pinker Pinker Plate 2025m - 9:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Sun Gift for Danny O’Brien is a Dry track specialist who has finished in the top 2 on 14 of her 25 starts. Michael Dee has had 3 rides on top for 3 placings and she is back to a distance that suits after failing at Mornington last start over the unsuitable mile and Soft track. Her second up form is very good and I expect her to settle in midfield from the good barrier of 2.
(2) Ocean Bay is the opening fav but goes better on Soft tracks. Has a good record and will sit on pace throughout. Having her second try over the distance.
(7) Wolfess is fit and is a run-on type. There looks to be genuine speed in this affair so she can place at big odds.
(1) Sun Gift WIN
$5.50 (1 Unit)
