I’ll be the first to admit it. I didn’t think the Heat had a chance after the way the first 2 games played out, but here we are. On the back of yet another stellar finals performances from Jimmy Butler, Miami have clawed their way back into the series and now look to force a game 7 and complete the fairytale.

Los Angeles Lakers
Well they were one play away from the championship in game 5 but couldn’t come through in the clutch. They certainly had their chance to put the Heat away in game 5 however it wasn’t to be.
It was the Lebron and AD show again with both putting up monster stat lines. This time however, the Lakers bench struggled from the floor and lacked the impact which we’d seen throughout the series. Miami played hard and LA simply had no answer to the elite scoring of Butler.
Nerves might start creeping in but the Lakers just need to find their spark again after a couple of flat performances. They won’t want this to go to game 7 with Miami seeming to get stronger the longer this series goes. We predicted Lebron to have a big game in the last preview and he well and truly delivered on that. I don’t think we need to change a winning formula.

Miami Heat
The dream is still alive for Miami fans after the Heat dug deep to beat the Lakers 111-108 in game 5. Jimmy Butler was outstanding once again putting up his second triple-double for the series. He was aided by sharpshooter Duncan Robinson who couldn’t miss all night. The Heat guard drained 7 3-pointers and put up 26 points in a performance which will give him and his team massive confidence.
Miami will head into this game with more belief than ever that they can give this Lakers team a scare. Game 5 was the first time both Davis and Lebron have played well and the Heat managed to still win. If Bam Adebayo can start firing again as well as Robinson and his partner in crime Tyler Herro, the signs look good for Erik Spoelstra’s team.
If the Heat are going to force a game 7 they’re going to need their main man Jimmy Butler to continue his incredible form and I think he looks the most obvious play here.

Prediction
Most NBA fans didn’t think we would be this deep into the series but we have learnt that Miami will not go down without a fight. The stage is set for a huge game 6 and I think this one will come down to the wire.
