Welcome to a brand new series at Before You Bet! The 'Best of the Rest'.
We like to think that we have you covered for all of the major sporting events when it comes to betting tips, but there are plenty of events on a weekly basis that tickle our fancy from a betting perspective but just don't warrant a full article.
Here, we'll run you through our favourite betting tips from everything we haven't already covered in the upcoming weekend in sports, from the more obscure sports and events played in the far corners of the globe.
Best of the Rest Betting Tips: Weekend June 3rd-5th
Call of Duty League
Major 3: Toronto
The Call of Duty league heads to Toronto this weekend for the third major of the season. Optis Texas open the tournament as $3.25 favourites after taking out the first major of the season but they'll be without star player 'Illey' for the entireity of the tournament due to a thumb injury.
I love the odds for Atlanta Faze for this tournament. They have been arguably the best team in the league throughout the season so far, although they are still chasing a major after Optic and the LA Guerillas took out the first two events. Back them to win the tournament at odds of $3.75.
LA Guerillas to Reach Final ($76) 0.1 Units
Atlanta Faze

Wales vs Ukraine
FIFA World Cup Qualifiers - Europe
13 nations from Europe will qualifiy for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Currently, 12 have already booked their tickets to Qatar. Just one place remains from the European section and it will go to the winner of the Wales vs Ukraine clash early on Monday morning.
It's basically a straight pick'em in the eyes of the bookmakers, with both teams starting at around $2.70 to win in normal+injury time. I like taking Wales to qualify here. They have the stronger team on paper and will have the home field advantage.
Wales to qualify
$1.90 (2 Units)
Quicksilver Pro G-Land
World Surfing League
The World Surf League heads to Indonesia this weekend for the Quicksilver Pro event for the men and the Roxy Pro for the women. We are focusing in on the men for this betting tip, as we like the look of John John Florence.
The Hawaiian surfer is arguably the most in form in the world at the moment despite not yet picking up a win on the 2022 WSL. In five events so far thsi season, he already has a 2nd, 3rd and two 5th place finishes to sit in 2nd place behing only Filipe Toledo. John John is great odds at $7.00 this week.
Florence to Win ($7.00) 0.5 Units
Florence Reach Semi-Final

Vancouver Whitecaps vs Real Salt Lake
Major League Soccer
Love me some Real Salt Lake in this matchup against Vancouver in the MLS this weekend. Salt Lake currently sit in 3rd place in the Western Conference with a 7-4-3 record through 14 games while Vancouver are all the way down in third last place in the conference, having won just four of their 13 games this season.
Interestingly, Real Salt Lake enter this game as underdogs at $2.87. They are on the road but I they have a much better team on paper and are in better form, having won their last three games on the trot.
Real Salt Lake
$2.75 (1.5 Units)
