Sandown & Canterbury Racing Tips for Wednesday, May 10th

After a packed week of racing with the Warrnambool Carnival last week, we are back to our regular scheduling. We give our tips for every race at both Sandown and Canterbury this Wednesday, the 10th of May. 

SANDOWN RACING TIPS

R1 - Four Sisters / Diapason EW
R2 - Penryn Pearl / Guangzhou EW (Best Value)
R3 - The Dynamo
R4 - Swampland
R5 - Volcanic Eruption EW / I Am The Dark EW
R6 - Think Babe / Madam Mouton EW
R7 - Chequered Flag
R8 - Miss Dubois

Best Bet: Race 3 The Dynamo

Looks a tough day at Sandown and this race is up there with the most competitive of them but The Dynamo really looks well placed here. Drops in grade here and back to midweek racing after a solid first up run behind Miss Vista. Has never finished outside the top two over this course and distance, on soft ground, or when second up from a break. Draws well and the only concern would be Craig Newitt, but the $6 on offer looks a very good bet.

Best Value: Race 2 Guangzhou

Resumed with a dominant win in maiden grade at Pakenham and beat Dalgety by 4.25L. Dalgety then came out and won by 3.25L last start and comes up a $6 shot here. Guangzhou draws well and will only improve with the step up to 1600m. The wet ground is a query but the $9 on offer looks over the odds.

R7 - Coolcraft (Best Value) / Love And Lies EW

Best Bet: Race 5 Slow Burn

Looks a better horse than midweek grade. Bolted in on debut before a luckless run last start when she missed the kick and settled last. Was $1.60 favourite on that occasion, and In Times Of War has come out of that race and finished 2nd in Saturday grade so the race wasn't short of depth. Launching at the $2.50 on offer.

Best Value: Race 7 Coolcraft

Starting this prep in nearly identical fashion to last prep. Last prep he ran 3rd first up before winning 2nd up over 1250m at Canterbury with 60kg. This prep he ran 3rd first up and tackles the 1250m at Canterbury 2nd up with 60.5kg. Has a good record here and looks well placed with $7.50 available.
