Two fairly interesting racing meets in action this Wednesday, the 12th of July. We take a look at the 7 race meet at Canterbury and the 8 race meet at Sandown and give our betting tips below.
CANTERBURY RACING TIPS

R5 - Imperator Augustus / Speed Hero EW (Best Value)
R6 - Star Crossed (Best Bet)
R7 - Tip Top (Best Value) / Bon Equus EW
Best Bet: Race 6 Star Crossed
Resumed with an all-the-way win at Wyong in a weaker race but he was competitive in town earlier in his career. Has won two from three on Soft ground, gets a handy 2kg claim and should bounce straight to the front and be tough to run down.
Best Value: Race 5 Speed Hero
Failed last start but this is an easier race. He goes well at Canterbury with a win and a placing from two starts over this track and distance. Draws the inside gate and loves the soft ground. Looks a decent chance in this at $6.50.
SANDOWN RACING TIPS
R1 - Street Impact
R2 - Lady Skills
R3 - Blue Tycoon

R5 - Yogi (Best Bet) / Xebec EW
R6 - He's A Moral
R7 - Lovani

Best Bet: Race 5 Yogi
Has won consecutive races at the Hillside track and the latest of those was very impressive when coming from a long way off the pace. Steps up to 2100m which looks to suit, and has a great record on Soft ground. Williams to ride, hard to beat at the short quote.
Best Value: Race 8 RIyadh
This horse is flying and comes into this after winning in Saturday grade last start. Goes right up in the weights as a result of that and the drop in class, but I still think he can win this and $8 is a good price.
