Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday, April 28th
Kembla Grange Race 2 - (Market)
(4) Stolen Jade is a Clarry Conners trained filly, she has had five starts for three placings, two of those this time in. She resumed at Gosford as a $3.60 favourite, was slowly away before settling worse than mid-field. She was held-up early in the straight and looking for a run, when she got out she flashed late with the best last 400m of the race to just miss in a race that has proven a very good form reference. Last start she went to Warwick Farm on a heavy track and was heavily backed late to eventually start favourite. She was three-wide no cover throughout and stuck on ok for second although well beaten. She gets back on top of the ground for the first time this campaign and maps to be just behind the speed.
Kembla Grange Race 3 - (Market)
Edit: Frosty Rocks has been scratched.
(2) Frosty Rocks has placed at 3 of his five career runs, he was last seen at Wyong when resuming back in November, he was at flip-of-the-coin odds and after settling behind the leader, was very poor in the run home. He was sent to the paddock and given the big chop and gelded, he resumed with a nice trial at Warwick Farm 11 days ago. He was scratched from a Gosford maiden on Saturday and saved for this, some money for him would increase the confidence.
Taree Race 3 - (Market)
(7) Fu Ni has only been to the races once, that debut was back at Muswellbrook in late November. She was very well backed late and started in the red ($1.90). She was mid-field I the run on the rail, got off the fence soon after straightening and although she was looked a little disappointing beaten almost 2 lengths, she wasn’t suited the way the race was run. She was sent straight to the paddock and has had two trials leading into this. The latest on the inner track at Newcastle she jumped well, took a sit, eased around the leader before sticking on well for second. A replay of that latest trial can be found here.
Sale Race 1 - (Market)
(6) Night Of Delight is a first-starter for the Robbie Griffiths yard, the daughter of Night Of Thunder has had four jump-outs leading into this, two of them this time in, both of them victories. The latest at Cranbourne is the one I have been most impressed with, she was brilliant out of the gates and led easily She railed well, was not touched at any stage up the straight whilst the two main chasers were put under pressure to get alongside her. A replay of that jump-out can be found here (heat 3). She was very professional and looks to have talent, from the wide draw she should be on the speed for a long way.
