Horse Racing Tips: Saturday, October 30th
Flemington Race 1
Keen to get the cash nice and early with (11) Fangirl who comes to Melbourne in very good form. Has been two super wins on the trot now and has run very good time in both of them. Looks a horse with a bit of X factor and I think she is going to eat up the 1600m. From the perfect draw and Jmac on I think she looks very hard to beat.
Rosehill Race 1
Keen to see (2) Katalin resume today and is a horse who has showed a heap of ability in her career. She absolutely flies fresh and is unbeaten on two first up runs. The lead in trials have been good and this is a race well within her reach. Gets a lovely setup today from barrier 3 on her preferred dry surface and I just think she is a bit better than these.
Flemington Race 6
It’s going to be a touch tricky from the wide draw but I’m happy to have something on (4) Gunstock here in the Derby. Was a certainty beat two back before doing it very easily with the blinkers added. Has been working well through the grades and has a nice profile for a Derby winner. Looks ready for this trip and as mentioned, if Mcneil can manage to get some cover in the three-wide line I expect this horse to let down well from the back and be too strong.
Rosehill Race 6
Keen to be with (2) Masked Crusader here off the back of his enormous Everest pefroamnce. He probably beats Nature Strip in another stride or two and now finds a much easier race. He’s airborne this prep and I think his main danger Eduardo cannot run 1300m. With that thinking the $2.8+ on offer at the moment looks a steal and with even luck (and he always needs it), he should be winning.

(5) Ma And Pa draws perfectly in barrier 1 and will be looking to win a fourth straight race with Nash Rawiller in the saddle. You know exactly what your going to get from this horse. Front running and gives a kick in the straight and I think he gets in nicely with 57kg here. It’s a tougher race but no real world beaters here and I expect him to be pretty hard to run down.
