Very difficult card today without any standouts but So Splendid has been good in her two starts back from a spell without much luck and against the tempo in both. Should have finished closer than she did last start at Newcastle and gets a positive jockey change today along with blinkers for the first time. $6 looks a good price.

Comes out of a strong race behind The Mighty Fed who came out and won again ont he weekend. That looks a good formline for a maiden like this and with the good draw he can run well at $10.

Keeps getting better with every run and has been dominant in his past two wins. Won the Bendigo Guineas by over two lengths last start, defeating Sword Of Light who has then gone on to win her next two races. Expect him to lead and with the claim he is well weighted to win this.
Best Value: Race 6 Penthouse Kitten
Bolted in first up at Bairnsdale and then last start she was luckless at Mornington. Big step up in grade but she has raced in Group 1 company previously and the extra trip will suit her. $15 available.
