Sydney vs Collingwood Prediction & Betting Tips: AFL 2026 Round 10
Swans Taking Care of Business
Sitting clear at the top of the ladder, the Swans (8-1) have turned the SCG into a fortress with a perfect 4-0 record at home this season. Isaac Heeney remains in elite form; while he is currently priced at $15 for the Brownlow Medal, his output has been career-defining and central to Sydney's dominance. The night also marks a major milestone for James Rowbottom, who plays his 150th AFL game as the defensive anchor of a midfield leading the league in scoring from stoppage chains.
Pendles Rests Ahead of Record
Collingwood (10th) arrives facing a structural crisis with several key leaders sidelined. Captain Darcy Moore and Patrick Lipinski are both out via concussion protocols, while Scott Pendlebury is being managed ahead of his record-breaking game next week. The most glaring deficit is in the ruck; Darcy Cameron’s ankle injury leaves the inexperienced Oscar Steene to combat a rampant Brodie Grundy. Grundy is in career-best form and should provide silver service to his teammates, exploiting the massive experience and height gap in the hit-outs against his former side.
The Jordon Tag
A key subplot to watch will be James Jordon’s expected lockdown role on Nick Daicos. Jordon has established himself as arguably the second-best tagger in the competition behind Oisin Mullin, and he will be tasked with limiting Daicos's creative drive. While the Magpies have few secondary weapons capable of hurting Sydney's well-drilled defensive unit if their star playmaker is neutralised, the Swans' collective depth and scoring power mean they aren't reliant on a single shutdown role to control the flow of the game.
What to Expect? Here’s our Best Bet!
Bookmakers have installed Sydney as heavy -35.5 point favourites, and current form suggests they will cover the line with ease. The Swans have been ruthless at home this year and have already recorded 5x 40+ point wins. Given Collingwood is missing their captain in Moore, primary ruck in Cameron, as well as Pendlebury, they lack the stability to withstand Sydney's relentless ball movement on the small SCG deck.

Sydney vs Collingwood Prop Bet
Chad Warner has kicked 11 goals from 9 games this season and loves this matchup against Collingwood with a 2-goal and 3-goal game in his last 3 outings against them. He’s only attending 56% of Sydney’s CBA’s this season which is the lowest % since 2023, so he’s spending a lot of his time up forward. At better than 3-1 odds, it’s worth considering backing in the Chad for multiple goals.

Sydney vs Collingwood Same Game Multi
Sydney to Win: They are the far superior team right now and should be winning comfortably.
Joel Amartey 2+ Goals: He’s kicked 14 goals from 4 matches at the SCG this season, kicking 2+ on each occasion.
Josh Daicos 25+ Disposals: Was spotted training with the mids this week, so a role switch looks likely. He will be required to accumulate with his brother Nick copping the Jordon tag.
Chad Warner 20+ Disposals: 22+ disposals in each of his last six matches against the Magpies and looks likely again.
