Esports Betting Tips: October 4-6, 2023
Imperial Esports vs Party Astronauts
BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023
Imperial Esports and Party Astronauts will kick off BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023 on Wednesday, October 4, when the two teams meet for the first time since April 2022, when Imperial Esports won 2-1. Imperial and Party Astronauts have since made several roster changes, so that result doesn't mean much, but Imperial Esports are expected to win again.
Imperial Esports have not won anything since June, when they collected a gold medal from ESL Brasil Premier League Season 14. However, they have been competing in S-Tier events, including BLAST Spring Finals, IEM Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 18.
Over the 11 series played, Imperial have won just four against Vitality, Complexity, Grayhound, and 9z Team, so it's not like they have achieved much. But unlike Party Astronauts, Imperial at least got to play top-tier squads.
Since this is a regional clash, anything can happen, but I don't find it believable that Party Astronauts will have an easy time facing Imperial. Even though neither team is very strong, Imperial have performed relatively well against much stronger teams over the last few weeks, so they should do fine against Party Astronauts.

Team Liquid vs Forsaken
BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023
Team Liquid vs Forsaken match is very similar to the first game of BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023 in way that it features a team that hasn't won much over the last few weeks but has competed in big events and a team that is in good form, but has only played against weaker opponents.
However, unlike the tournament's first game, this seems ot have a higher upset potential. Forsaken have lost just one game since the end of August and are in excellent form ahead of BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023. While this has to be taken with a grain of salt, considering Forsaken have only competed in B- and C-Tier tournaments, they have looked good.
On the other side, Team Liquid are not only in terrible form, but they've also lost or struggled against weaker teams since July. Most of their losses came against top-rated teams, but I'm not as concerned with who Liquid lost against as much as I am about how they lost.
Liquid have looked completely disjoined in their games, so it's not the lack of talent that concerns me but more how they approach their games. So even though Liquid have better players than Forsaken, their teamwork is shaky enough for me to believe Forsaken can do some damage.

Complexity vs Evil Geniuses
BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023
Complexity and Evil Geniuses will meet in the third game of BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023 on Friday, October 6 in what should be an interesting game, but according to the esports betting odds, it shouldn't serve us with any surprises.
Complexity are 1.36 favourites to defeat Evil Geniuses (3.00), which, based on what Complexity have shown last month, is a fair offer. Complexity performed well at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North American Series #2 at the end of August, and they didn't look too bad in ESL Pro League Season 18, where they went 2-2.
Even though Complexity didn't make it far at ESL Pro League Season 18, they still won against 9INE and Cloud9 and took maps off Monte and G2 Esports (1-2). Those could've easily been flukes, but there's no denying that Complexity have improved over the last month.
Evil Geniuses are an entirely different story as a team that continues to regress. They looked terrible at ESL Pro League Season 18 and have only accomplished something in a few smaller second-tier tournaments. And even though EG have looked slightly better last month, they still have a long way to go before they'll be able to compete against any decent team.
