Natus Vincere vs Astralis
BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals
Astralis enter this match off a title-winning run at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 Europe where they lost only one match against GODSENT, but had no real difficulties facing the likes of Team Liquid, G2, Gambit, FURIA and mousesports. On the other side, Natus Vincere recently secured a silver medal from IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Europe where they got reverse-swept (2-3) by Team Vitality in the grand finals after leading 2-0.
Astralis and NaVi last met during the IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Europe, where NaVi won the series 2-0 with 16-9 on Overpass and 16-9 on Inferno. Denis "electronic" Sharipov was the man of the match with 43 frags and 1.47 HLTV rating which was only slightly above his teammates Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy and Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev who ended the series with 1.43 and 1.42 HLTV rating respectively.
Even though NaVi won the previous match, I have a hard time believing they will manage the same feat this time out, especially now that Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander is back as Astralis' IGL. Bet on Astralis to get their revenge!
Vitality vs mousesports
BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals
Vitality have recently won the IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Europe, where they lost only one match against FaZe en route to their second tournament title of the year. Besides their sole loss, Vitality defeated Spirit, MAD Lions, Heroic, Complexity and Natus Vincere with relative ease.
Mousesports looked quite solid in their journey through the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 Europe, where they bested GODSENT, Team Liquid and Cloud9, but fell flat against Astralis (1-3) in the grand finals. Outside of their run through the DreamHack, mouz also picked up a few convincing wins in November, although most came against weaker sides.
Vitality and mouz last met in October when Vitality secured a comfortable 2-0 win with 16-6 on Nuke and 16-12 on Dust2. Oddly enough, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was not the best-performing player for Vitality, but it was instead Richard 'shox' Papillon who stepped up and ended the series with 1.42 HLTV rating.
On the side of mousesports, David "frozen" Čerňanský was the only individual with a somewhat decent performance with 39 frags along with a 1.08 HLTV rating. His teammates, meanwhile, all underperformed and failed to reach the 1.00 line.
Both teams are in solid form which is why I expect to see a close match, however, considering mousesports usually struggle into stronger sides, I have to favour Vitality to come out ahead. Value bet on Vitality to win 2-0!
Illuminar vs Budapest Five
European Development Championship 1
Illuminar and Budapest Five last met in July at the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 2 where Budapest Five reverse-swept the Polish side and won 2-1. Illuminar took the series lead with 16-9 on Train but lost 7-16 on Mirage and 8-16 on Nuke.
Patrik "bodito" Boda and András "coolio" Fercsák played a pivotal role in B5's success that day with 1.29 and 1.28 HLTV rating respectively. On the side of Illuminar the ex-MAD Lions player Paweł "innocent" Mocek was the only player who looked somewhat decent and ended the series with 53 frags and 1.05 HLTV rating.
Since there were roster changes on both sides since then, we should not put too much weight on that result and instead focus on the teams' recent showings, and their current form.
Even though Illuminar seem like a better team, they have been recently dropping maps against weaker sides than Budapest Five, which leads me to believe B5 should be capable of winning at least one map on either Mirage or Dust2. Bet on Over 2.50 Maps!
