DRX vs KT Rolster

2021 LCK Spring

KT Rolster secured their first victory of the season on Sunday when they edged out T1 2-1 in the "Telecom derby". Although an impressive win on paper, we have to note that T1 did not play that well, and even that is putting it lightly.

Regardless, we have to give some praise to KT's top laner Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon, who was simply phenomenal. Much of the same holds true for KT's bottom lane duo Lee "HyBriD" Woo-jin and Jang "Zzus" Joon-soo, who were dumpstering T1's bottom lane, however, T1 were playing with their secondary ADC, so it’s not like they crushed what is one of the best bottom lanes in the world.

DRX enter this match with a 3-1 record, which is quite impressive for a team that was expected to struggle this split. They have already bested the likes of Afreeca Freecs, Nongshin RedForce and Liiv SANDBOX and if those results are any indication, they should do fine against KT Rolster as well. Still, I have a hard time trusting DRX to win here.

DRX are outmatched in every single position on the map besides jungle, and are on top of that a team that struggles to create leads and instead wait for their opponents to make mistakes. This might work against KT since they are by no means a perfect team, however, I just can't side with DRX at this price.

T1 vs Liiv SANDBOX

LCK 2021 Spring

T1 have managed only one win in their last four outings and enter this match on a three-game losing streak, having lost against DWG KIA, Gen.G and most recently KT Rolster. It is important to note, that T1 fielded their rookie mid and ADC players for their series with KT, so that results hardly shows how strong T1 really are.

Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong and Lee "Clozer" Ju-hyeon bot severely underperformed against KT and will get replaced by Park "Teddy" Jin-seong and Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, which should make T1 far more stable. Even if the two veterans don't step in to play, T1 should still be a big favourite to defeat Liiv SANDBOX.

Even though Liiv SANDBOX are not a bad team, they are still somewhat shaky and seem like they're unable to take advantage of the opportunities given to them. That was most notable in their game against DRX, which SANDBOX should have won, but instead, they ended up losing 1-2.

I see the potential in SANDBOX, but until they start showing a bit more, I just can't make myself believe they can cause an upset or come even close to it. Bet on T1 to win 2-0!

Oh My God vs Suning

LPL 2021 Spring

On paper, this match should end in a convincing win for Suning, but it's hard to be too optimistic about this squad after what they have been showing this split. Suning have managed only one win in their last four outings and even though their only win came against Top Esports, we can't ignore that Suning then went on to lose against Royal Never Give Up (1-2), Rare Atom (0-2) and FunPlus Phoenix (0-2).

Something is not clicking in this squad and while it's hard to say exactly what Suning need to to do improve, all that we know now is that they're playing extremely poorly and seem like a team that can lose to anyone.

Oh My God are not doing too well either (0-4), but they are not much worse than Suning. I would even go so far to say that OMG's performances are improving whereas Suning are looking worse and worse with each passing game.

There is no denying OMG field a weaker roster, but they should do fine against Suning as long as they can survive the laning phase. That is mainly because OMG have a solid idea of how to approach their games and as long as their bottom lane and jungler can keep playing at the level they have been showing in their recent bouts, Suning will not have an easy time on Thursday.

If OMG's mid laner Wang "Wuming" Xin wasn’t such a big liability, I would even consider backing OMG to win, but since he can singlehandedly lose these games, I'm not ready to risk it. OMG to win one map!
