Bulldogs vs Panthers Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 6 2026
Plenty of problems to address
It isn’t just the poor performances on the field which the Bulldogs must contend with. Their 32-24 loss to the Rabbitohs also saw Crichton leave the field with injury. The decisions made to cover the injured players were puzzling; O’Sullivan playing at 5/8 wasn’t stable and moving Burton to centre limited his involvement. They again couldn’t turn their attack into points; they averaged 9.1m per carry and had more PCM’s (391 vs 419) but had just 3 line breaks. The fact that they dominated these areas but still conceded 32 points is of concern. There is a sense that this output will not be tolerated for much longer.
Perfection in every area
For a team which continues to set a high standard, few would’ve expected the Panthers to defeat the Storm 50-10 in their match last week. It was a dynamic and explosive performance which further added to their dominance to start the season. It leaves many wondering who will be capable of stopping this juggernaut. With 55% possession and an 86% completion rate, they averaged 9.1m per carry, had 688 PCM’s, had 10 line breaks, and missed just 19 tackles. Even with their opponents completing at 94%, they limited them to just 2 tries and 2 line breaks. There is no doubt that this team is the benchmark in 2026.
Stats that matter
- The Panthers have won 9 of the past 10 matches against the Bulldogs, including a dominant Finals victory last season.
- The Panthers are well ahead of the Bulldogs in both attack and defence this season. They score an average of 38ppg and concede just 8ppg. In comparison, the Bulldogs score just 17ppg and allow 20ppg.
- The past 5 matches between these two sides have been unusual to say the least. Despite two games of 62+ points, 3 games under 32 points has left the average total points at 41.2. The margin is 15.6 points, with 3 games decided by 20+ points.
The Bulldogs need a miracle
There is no doubt that the hosts will be ready for this contest. The problem facing them is the strength of their opponent; they welcome back Mitch Kenny into the team and immediately, they are improved on last week. The Panthers have not only set the standard so far this season, but they have also raised it to a new level. What they have produced appears beyond most teams at this stage of the season. Given the Bulldogs are missing key players and are still struggling with their attack, their ability to compete (let alone win) in this game is unlikely. This makes the decision on a winner seem like an easy one; the harder option in this game is finding value. The line has been set high but even that appears capable of being covered. The Panthers have scored large victories over some of the best defensive teams in the Roosters and Storm. This should be another achievement in their strong start to the season.

Bulldogs vs Panthers Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Panthers 13+ - included to simply add a little more value into this investment.
Leg 2 = To’o to score – overshadowed by the winger on the other side, To’o has still score in 3 of his past 4 matches. He is a good chance to salute again against a team he likes playing. He has scored 5 tries in his past 4 games against the Bulldogs.
Leg 3 = Cleary to score – he has scored in each of his past 2 games against the Bulldogs. Cleary is looking as good as ever in attack and is leading his team around confidently. He won’t need much of an opportunity to capitalise on in attack.
