We are back with another slate of spread betting tips, this time for Round 14 of the AFL season. We hit on 2 of 4 bets last week with the highlight being our bet of first Sydney score under 301 seconds. Sydney scored within 100 seconds so a $1 bet on our tip would have netted a cool $200.

AFL Round 14 Spread Betting Tips
Starting with the Friday night game between Sydney and Essendon. There’s a few markets that we like here but the most of which is the Zach Merret fantasy line. Merret scored a massive 151 in his last game before the bye and had 117 against Sydney last year in a game that was an 80-point loss to the Dons. Should improve here as Essendon will be more competitive. Merret also had an impressive 123 in the first round after the bye last year, we are tipping him to go over his fantasy line here.
TIP: Zach Merret OVER 117 fantasy points
The Magpies last three games have seen them score within 260 seconds on all three occasions. With a starting midfield consisting of Steele Sidebottom, Scott Pendlebury and Adam Treloar, their clearance rate is one of the higest of any tema in the league. We like them to get on the board early against Port Adelaide, who allowed 7 first quarter goals in their last trip to Melbourne.
TIP: Collingwood time of first score UNDER 289 seconds
The first goal accelerator is an interesting concept at Pointsbet. Players will receive points if they kick a goal inside the first 5 of the match. 150pts are awarded for scoring the 1st goal of the match, 75pts for scoring the 2nd goal, 50pts for the 3rd goal, 25pts for the 4th goal, 10pts for the 5th goal, 0 pts if the player doesn't score or scores after 5 goals have already been scored. If player score multiple goals, the points will accumulate.
We are tipping the Giants to get off to a fast start against the Lions and Jeremy Cameron’s line of 38 seems a little low. Hopefully he can snag one in the first few and a second will be a massive bonus. Has scored the first goal of the game on 2 occasions this year and one within the first five goals on another 4 occasions.
TIP: Jeremy Cameron first goal accelerator OVER 38
Melbourne have looked like one of the best teams in the comp over the last few weeks and will get back star Ruckman Max Gawn for the clash against West Coast. Somewhat surprisingly starting as underdogs which has almost been a advantage in the AFL this year. We like them to at least cover the 7 point line, possibly better with the current form.
TIP: Melbourne at the line +7
