AFL Spread Betting Tips: Round 21

August 11th 2017, 1:15pm, By: andyrosos

Great week for us last weekend in the spread betting department as we hit on 3 bets and had a push for the last. We are drawing closer to the end of the home and away season which means limited opportunity for us to win cash on spread bets. We’ll look for another winning week here as we present our AFL Spread Bets for Round 21 below.

AFL Round 21 Spread Betting Tips

Jack Macrae has been in some great form of late as the Bulldogs have won their last 4 games. The midfielder has fantasy scores of 137, 99, 103, 123, 93, 98 and 126 in his last six games and has a line of just 105 against the Giants on Friday night. Tough matchup against GWS but Etihad should provide perfect conditions and the Dogs should have first look at the ball in the middle with no Shane Mumford. We like the Macrae over here.

TIP: Jack Macrae OVER 105 fantasy points

We are heading back to our favourite bet of the year for our second tip, the Sydney time of first score. We’ve backed it plenty of times throughout the year and only lost once, although that loss was a big one. They play the Dockers in Sydney this weekend and should have their full compliment of midfielders in the team barring Josh Kennedy. At almost 4 minutes, we think they should easily cover the UNDER.

TIP: Sydney first score UNDER 223 seconds

No Selwood, no Hawkins, no worries? Richmond have opened as six point favourites to beat the Cats down in Geelong on Saturday but with the Cats getting a refreshed Patty Dangerfield back in the side and having the home field advantage, we think that Geelong are a massive chance. Will be great to watch Dangerfield and Dustin Martin going toe to toe. The Cats play so well at Simmonds Stadium and the Tigers are due for a slip up.

TIP: Geelong +2 points

The Lions are favoured in a game for perhaps the first time all year as they face off against the Suns at the Gabba on Saturday afternoon. No Ablett for the Suns which justifys the 15-point line in favour of the Lions. One player that has been great when Ablett has been out is Jarryd Lyons. Has five scores over 100 in his last seven games and we like him to go over again this week with no Ablett in the team.

TIP: Jarryd Lyons OVER 96 fantasy points
