Midweek horse racing will be run at six venues on Wednesday! Here, we are focusing on Caulfield Heath, Doomben and Belmont which have the highest quality cards in the midweek slot. Check out our three best bets for the day below and good luck to everyone following along!

Caulfield Heath Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 27th
Race 4: Ive > Handicap 1200m – 2:10pm AEST
(3) Golden Magnate kickstarted his career with a narrow victory at Moe 15 days ago. The three-year-old gelding led and just held off Miss Lola as the pair went to the line together, finishing a whopping eight lengths clear of the rest of the field. From barrier four, jockey Billy Egan will be looking for a forward position. A repeat effort from the debut should see the son of Magnus go close.
(1) Prestar returns after two runs last prep, finishing sixth on both occasions – one of those was at Eagle Farm in the Listed Gold Edition Plate won by Grafterburners. A pair of jump outs should have him ready to run a big race here.
(6) Blankfield is a last start winner at Pakenham on a heavy track. He hasn’t missed a place in five career runs and has each-way claims at a price.
(3) Golden Magnate WIN
$3.40 (2 Units)
Doomben Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 27th
Race 4: Ladbrokes Stradbroke Calcutta Book Now Benchmark 78 Handicap 2200m – 1:47pm AEST
(7) Chillaxing broke through last start, winning over 2150m at Ipswich. It was a dominant 4.57-length victory after sitting behind the leading pair and obliterating them in the final 100m of the event. The distance looks ideal for Tony Gollan’s six-year-old gelding. It would be great if Daniel Moor could box seat behind Rattle And Hum. He should appreciate the weight relief as he rises in class.
(4) Captain Maverick is getting close to a win with three-straight minor placings, including a second in this class last time over 2170m at Ipswich. Ryan Maloney picks up the ride and has ridden four winners from his last 16 rides. The gelding has strong claims here.
(3) The Irish won first-up from a spell over the mile before tackling the distance range again when finishing fifth. Jumps up sharply in distance but he has won three from 11 at the distance. Expecting a better performance in this race.
(7) Chillaxing WIN
$3.60 (2 Units)
Belmont Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 27th
Race 5: Glenroy Chaff Handicap 1000m – 3:28pm (5:28pm AEST)
(1) Bassett Hound has come up a $1.50 favourite which looks very skinny despite a brilliant victory last time out. He won his maiden by four lengths and will likely be midfield or worse here. Expecting a strong performance but can’t touch the price.
(6) Great Promise is extremely consistent, often producing a similar run each time. She will be sent forward from her wider gate, and this looks a lot easier than last start when beaten 3.21 lengths by Lord Shiva and Cleanmeup. She has come up a fantastic each-way price in the race.
(7) Solar Chant is another filly and she won her maiden two starts ago before running second at York. I am expecting her to come across from the widest gate to try and slot in or race outside the speed. Has solid claims in the race.
(6) Great Promise E/W
$7.50/$2.00 (1U/2U)
