NBL24 Round 10 Preview & Betting Tips
Melbourne United vs Brisbane Bullets
Sunday 2pm AEDT, December 10th, John Cain Arena
Melbourne United have had to wait an extended period to get the chance to avenge their recent loss against the Taipans, which was certainly a disappointing one. They gave up a season-high 115 points including a whopping 67 in the first half, which made it a near impossible task to overcome.
Still, United have had an excellent NBL24 to date and have shown great ability to quickly bounce back from a defeat. They’ve recorded strong wins in each of the other two times they’ve lost, taking down the Wildcats and the Phoenix respectively.
Meanwhile, the Brisbane Bullets are coming off a round in which they won both of their contests, one on the road against the Taipans and one at home against the Hawks. Those two victories were by a combined six-point margin, which isn’t a surprise considering five of their seven wins have been by five or less points.
The Bullets now hit the road where they’ve struggled so far this season, albeit winning last time out. They’ve lost four of their last six games on their travels and have only beaten one top six team on the road this season, which was against Perth back in Round 5.
Match prediction: Although they had arguably their worst game of the season last start, Melbourne United will be extremely confident heading into this matchup against the Brisbane Bullets. United have won each of their last nine meetings, including their Round 3 matchup this season which they won by a comfortable 11 points.
United are clearly the better team in this contest and their chances of winning only improve on their home deck, particularly considering the Bullets’ road struggles this season. With that said, I’ll be playing United to cover the spread to kick off Sunday hoops.
