Randwick-Kensington hosts a 7-race card on Wednesday afternoon with a $100k Maiden handicap to kick things off followed by a BM64, and then the remainder of the card is filled with BM72 horses. The first race commences at 1:25pm and the last concludes at 4:55pm AEST. The rail is out 3m and conditions are set to be heavy once again.

Race 3: Ranvet BM72 – 1100m - 2:35pm (AEST)
(1) Huon: 7YO Gelding who resumes today after having two trials. He was sound last campaign and has a terrific first up record with 3 wins from the 4 first up runs. Loves these conditions and with the low draw and a 3kg claim engaged he looks to be a top hope. Keen to be on.
(2) Iron Will: 6YO gelding who has been sound in his last 2 starts on the heavy deck which proves he is a solid wet tracker and must be considered here. Drawn well and rock hard fit. Expect another solid run. Value play
(5) Grand Eagle: 3YO Colt who resumes today after a handy campaign last time. Returns in an easier affair but has to take on heavy conditions which is where he is untested. Previous form on the soft track, so expecting there to be little to no issue here. J-Mac gets into the saddle, and you can expect a solid return. Goes well.

Race 5: Tab BM72 – 1550m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(1) Hooligan Tommy: 5YO Gelding who has had a little freshen up. He has been excellent in his past two runs winning comfortably on both occasions. Finds a tougher race now but gets in okay with the 3kg claim. Drawn well and will be chasing the hattrick. Value.
(5) La Roja: 4YO Mare who has returned nicely and was an impressive winner last time at Randwick over 1300m in these conditions. Remains at this company and looks primed for 1550m now. K-Mac stays on and deserves to be favourite.
(6) In Summer: 5YO Mare mare who got the chocolates in BM64 grade over these testing conditions last start when lugging 60.5kg. Up in grade now but gets 4kg off her back with a claim today. Drawn well and rates nicely for this. Fit and looks a great bet at the price.

Race 7: Headwater @ Vinery Stud BM72 - 1250m – 4:55pm (AEST)
(1) Hulu: Roughie of the day who has been terrific this prep with the 3 x wins. She has had a freshen up and absolutely loves this trip. Stanley has a nice record on top and with the 3kg claim she has to be right in this. Wet tracker only boosts confidence, and I’m convinced she is over the odds. Should be around the mark.
(5) Lady Boss: Sound 5YO Mare who has been good in her last two, just found one better last time out. J-Mac has decided to stick on which boosts confidence. Proven wet tracker and has to be considered again. Worth thought with the each way price.
(6) Mergeila: Promising 4YO mare who placed behind Mayfair and Mawjood first up which was at Rosehill in open grade. Dropped back to a maiden and won easily. Third up run she was only narrowly beaten by Pippie Beach. Her form lines are solid and looks well placed here. Query is the wet track.
