Royal Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, October 25th 2025

Race 1: Gow-Gates Kirkham Plate 1000m - 12:25pm (AEDT)

(2) Defensemen: 2YO Colt who went for a stack in the sales and has good pedigree. Won his trial nicely and looks to be a handy 2YO. One to watch.

(3) Green Kirk: 2YO Colt out of Group 1 winner Summer Passage. Has won two trials and gets a handy draw in 1. Goes well.

(7) Pearl Of Dubai: 2YO Filly who is a half-sister to Ghaanati and was impressive in her second trial. Looks solid.

TIP: NO BET

Race 2: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 1600m - 1:00pm (AEDT)

(1) Christa: 6YO Mare who is an honest type with 8 placings from 9 career starts including 3 wins. Continues to race well and probably should’ve won last start, but had badluck. With $2.10 the place she looks a good bet.

(3) Poisen Point: Handy winner two back and then narrowly beaten last start. Racing well and will be hard fit fourth up. Will be a main danger.

TIP: NO BET

Race 3: Midway BM72 1200m - 1:35pm (AEDT)

(3) Mafia: 5YO Gelding who got caught wide most recently, but was solid in defeat over 1280m. Likely to improve and the early market suggests he is right in this $12 into $8. Chance.

(10) Oakfield Jupiter: 4YO Mare who not hed up two handy wins and then had little luck in a stakes race where she finished 5L off the winner. Back to a much easier affair now and will likely bounce back. Two lead up trials have been sound.

TIP: NO BET

Race 4: Robrick Lodge Filante Hcp 1600m - 2:10pm (AEDT)

(1) Victoria Road: 6YO Gelding who came over to Aus last campaign with some very handy form. He failed to fire here and has had a long break. Resumes now with several trials under his belt and his best form is pretty good. He did run in the Cox Plate last year, so they must have some faith in him being a good horse. Out of the Maher stable now and will likely be improving this time round.

(4) Kintyre: 5YO Gelding who has been crunched in the early market. Third up today and Tyler Schiller gets back into the saddle who has a good record on top. Drawn well and will have plenty of followers.

(9) Point And Shoot: 4YO Gelding who is on the quick backup and gets into a much easier affair. Rock hard fit fourth up, draws well and 1600m looks ideal now. The one to beat.

(1) Victoria Road E/W

$7.50/$2.20 (1U/2U)

Race 5: Kia Ora Brian Crowley Stakes 1200m - 2:45pm (AEDT)

(1) Memo: 3YO Filly who lacked fitness first up but still hit the line okay. Vastly improved second up and got checked and slightly held up before launching late to narrowly miss behind Snow Mercy. Protest lodged, but unsuccessful. Has trialled since behind Beiwacht and Stefi Magnetica. Third up now and draws a nice gate. Will be hitting the line strongly.

(2) Grand Eagle: 3YO Colt who was good first up on the heavy only narrowly going down to Huon. Second up run was full of merit finishing only a length behind the Golden Slipper winner. If you are happy to forgive last start and go off his first and second up runs he looks a genuine top hope. Nash to steer boosting confidence.

(8) Miss Freelove: 3YO Filly who has been sound in her first two runs. Continues to race well and will only be improving. One to watch.

(1) Memo WIN

$5.50 (1 Unit)

Race 6: Cincotta Chemist Craven Plate 1800m - 3:20pm (AEDT)

(1) Lindermann: Dominant winner last start and now gets into a much easier race. Rates well and will be awfully hard to beat. Looks a good anchor for any multi. Just wins? Price too short to tip. At $1.55

TIP: NO BET

Race 7: Catanachs Jewellers Callander-Presnell 1600m - 3:55pm (AEDT)

(1) Rivellino: 3YO Colt who showed plenty of upside last campaign and hasn’t been disgraced returning this prep in top grade. Gets right back in grade now and is deserving of another win. Goes well.

(2) Ohope: Dominant winner in the Tapp-Crag last start and was only extending through to the line. The rise to 1600m looks no issue of that run. Draws well and will be hitting the line intently once again. Hard to look past off that win.

(3) Farnicle: 3YO Colt who SP’d at $2.10 last start and loomed as the winner before Ohope went whooshka to win easily. Expect this fella to improve third up and draws nicely to be able to dictate to his liking. Will need to sharply improve though to turn the tables.

(2) Ohope WIN

$5.50 (1 Unit)

Race 8: Moet & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes 2000m - 4:30pm (AEDT)

(2) Shangri La Boy: 3YO Colt who has proven he is a serious horse notching up back to back wins in some tough races. 2000m looks capable and with the low draw he will take catching. Plenty of punters will be on board fourth up.

(11) Within The Law: We’ve stuck with this girl for several runs now, and she’s had her fair share of hard-luck stories — often finding trouble in running and rarely getting things her way from tricky draws. She was brave again last week in the King Charles, finishing just 3L off the winner Ceoulwulf in a strong race. This is a definite drop in class, and she looks well-placed to bounce back. The step up to 2000m is a new test, but she’s rock-hard fit and gives every indication she’ll handle it. Collett sticks with her, which is a big plus, and with even luck from the draw, she’s ready to get the win she deserves.

(11) Within The Law WIN

$5.00 (1 Unit)

Race 9: The Invitation 1400m - 5:15pm (AEDT)

(1) Stefi Magnetica: Classy mare who rounded out her last campaign in elite fashion, taking out the Group 1 Doncaster before a gallant second to Fangirl in the Group 1 Queen of the Turf. Resumed this prep in the Group 2 Irresistible Pools Sheraco Stakes over 1200m, where she was snagged back to last and forced to circle the field — still hitting the line well late in a pleasing return. She’s since had a sharp trial behind Beiwacht to top her off nicely, and now stepping to 1400m — a trip where she’s never missed the placings from three starts — she looks perfectly placed. Draws to get a soft run, Collett sticks, and with added fitness on her side, her best form makes her extremely hard to beat.

(3) Miss Roumbini: 5YO Mare who has been super impressive this prep with a wide run first up and still finished second behind Magic Time. Tackled the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke most recently and was last on the turn and out of view. Flew home to narrowly miss behind SEPALS who had a much softer run. Sectionals were electric. Scratched last start and kept for this. Will be running on and looks a genuine winning hope.

(6) Oh Diamond Lil: Roughie of the field who meets some tough opponents now, but gets a low draw and should be able to dictate out in front. Could hold on and pinch it if slowly run. Blow out hope.

(1) Stefia Magnetica E/W

$7.50/$2.40 (1U/2U)

Race 10: Five Diamonds Prelude 1500m - 5:55pm (AEDT)

(1) Transatlantic: 5YO gelding who has looked the winner in all of his runs this campaign and finally got the chocolates last start at group 1 level. Has to be considered once again. Major player.

(8) Rise At Dawn: Dual acceptor, but if he runs here he looks a nice play at the price. Will be improving and maps to lead and dictate to his liking. Will take catching and Nash steering boosts confidence.

(13) Fukubana: Roughie of the field/day. He was too bad to be true first up when SP’ing $2.30 in a class 6 at Eagle Farm and didn’t run on what so ever. Travels down to Randwick now and has good formlines behind the favourite Transatlantic. Has run at this track before and placed on two occasions. Likely to improve sharply second up and at the price he deserves a small each way play. Blow out hope.

(13) Fukubana E/W

$61/$9.00 (0.5 Units)
