Northam Greyhound Tips
Race 4 – 4:34pm AEST
Ezy Dollars should be able to begin well from box two and if she can get some luck in the early stages, then she will have strong claims in a wide-open race. A winner three starts ago in a 5/6Y, Ezy Dollars was runner up last time in this class. She has recorded a 17.29 for track and distance which would be enough to win here. Timely Ask and Pure Pesh are probably quicker beginners than Ezy Dollars and if either cross, they will take some catching. Joe Man is also a winning chance and Aliante having the red rug gives him a winning chance too in a competitive 5Y event.
Race 5 – 4:54pm AEST
Projectile continues to drop in class in recent months, without much success. He looks to have found a suitable race to recapture some of his better form. Three starts ago he recorded a 27.92 over the 490m at Mandurah. That time is almost identical to the run by Go Gettem Nitro back in February. Projectile has better early speed than that greyhound and he should land in front of him. The final 100m could be telling for Projectile but he is my top pick.
Race 6 – 5:12pm AEST
Molly Monelli looks a very strong chance after winning last start in 17.49. Veil Successor looks the leader from the inside box and Molly Monelli could get a lovely run close to the speed. She should have better closing speed than Veil Successor. Shinboner Spirit is a danger in the race as he drops in grade. Molly Monelli was a 16.23 Cannington winner five starts back. Smarty Hook and Quick Finance also have each-way claims, but happy to go with Molly Monelli from the better box.
Race 9 – 6:09pm AEST
Mjolnirs Might was an excellent 29.74 winner last week and a repeat performance will see him win again. He is close to his right price, so I don’t perceive there to be value about him. Hello Kelly interests me at around the $9 mark from box seven. She is capable of beginning quickly and her 22.64 over 405m at Mandurah two starts ago reads well. She is going to need luck from the black rug but looks to be a strong contender here and represents excellent value.
Race 12 – 7:17pm AEST
Maque rates very well in the final race on the card and box two should give him strong claims of winning. His past two starts have seen him record a 17.42 and 17.81 when finishing second to Tavata and third to Molly Monelli. Four starts ago he defeated Tavata at Cannington in 16.27. Recent numbers suggest that Maque can cross Magic Brandi at the start which would go a long way to seeing Maque have an advantage on rivals. Expect him to be fighting out the finish tonight.
