History suggests it’s Adelaide that holds a tight stranglehold over North, taking bragging rights in each of their last five encounters. The lopsided matchup hasn’t been pretty viewing either, with the Roos’ average losing margin stretched out beyond 45 points.
Saturday however presents as a new day full of opportunity, with it incumbent for North to turn a blind eye to their rear-view mirror and instead focus on the road ahead once the learnings have been taken out.
On the other hand, there’s no shirking away from the fact it’s been a horror start to their 2024 campaign, holding up the ladder as the only winless side to date, a set of circumstances they’ve become all too familiar with.
After Geelong opened up severe wounds on the young North side a fortnight ago, it was Hawthorn who poured salt in the wound last week in a deflating one two punch by 1st and 17th respectively on the ladder.
Adelaide have equally struggled to start the year but significantly – not in the grand scheme of things – have one win to show for it. Their 4 points came against Carlton, a side they’ve had the wood over in the past.
Match Prediction: Adelaide on paper should be winning but if North bring their best they could throw the cat amongst the pigeons. The Crows however remain favourites for a reason and are expected to justify their short quote with a comprehensive win.
