Two Average teams will battle it out in the beautiful setting of Honolulu. The Fresno State Bulldogs have been here before and now they bring a senior team to Hawaii. I have to ask the question - will they lose focus with a week of partying?
Fresno rank 102nd in the country in run defense and this is an area where Rice can take advantage. Two freshman line-backers for the Fresno State Bulldogs have also been suspended for this game which creates a big problem for relieving their starters (Mickelsen and Wilson). This may not be apparent in the first half, but later in the game this will certainly create big problems for the Bulldogs on defense.
Rice have a very good rush defense and the Bulldogs O-Line will have their work cut out for them all day. The Bulldogs O-Line has already allowed 31 sacks and I can see this number rising in this game.
This should be a good battle but I have rice covering in a low scoring affair.
