2018-19 NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, 29th November

November 28th 2018, 4:11pm, By: admin

Some really surprising results meant we had a tough time backing winners on Tuesday, which the first losing day for our tips in some time. We’ll make sure we get back to winning ways with some great plays on an exciting 10-game of NBA on this Thursday. Good luck to all following!

NBA Betting Tips Thursday November 29th

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers (11am AEDT)

The Knicks enter their second leg of a back-to-back after a seven point loss to the Pistons on Wednesday. That tough loss came after three really impressive wins in a row against tough opposition. Undrafted rookie Allonzo Trier had the best game of his short career against the Pistons, posting 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

The 76ers were able to bounce back from their shock loss to the Cavaliers to defeat the Nets on the road by two points, thanks to a Jimmy Butler 3-pointer at the buzzer. That win took their season tally to 14-8, which has them in third position in the East. Joel Embiid has put himself in early consideration for the MVP award, averaging 28 points and 13 rebounds thus far.

Although we do expect the Sixers to win the line here is just far too big. The Knicks have won three of their past for matches and have actually won more games on the road this season than at home. We’ll back them in to keep it under 12 points here.

Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets (11:30am AEDT)

The Jazz have been one of the most underwhelming teams through the first quarter of the 2018-19 season. After finishing last season with a wet sail and making it to the second round of the playoffs they just haven’t been able to get going yet. They have a poor 9-12 record, which amazingly has them in second last position in the Western Conference standings. They’ll be hoping that Donovan Mitchell can get healthy sooner rather than later, so that they at least have someone on the court that can get their own shot.

Meanwhile, the Nets have had similar struggles of their own, but that was to bed expected for the most part. After the horrific leg injury to Caris LeVert a few weeks ago the Nets have been really struggling on offense. They come into this game against the Jazz with an 8-13 record, which has them in 10th position in the Eastern Conference standings and just two games back from Orlando in eighth. They’ll be looking to kickstart their season with a big win over the Jazz in this one.

We’re a bit surprised to see the Jazz enter this as comfortably favourites on the road, especially when you consider their recent form. We’re more than happy to back in the Nets to do a job on them in front of their home fans.

Nets +3.5 Handicap

$1.92

Dallas Mavericks at Houston Rockets (12pm AEDT)

The Mavericks come into this fixture against the Rockets in some really nice touch. They’ve won six of their last seven games and find themselves well and truly in the playoff hunt early on with a 9-9 record, which has them in 10th position in the Western Conference standings and just one win back from Sacramento in eighth. Rookie of the Year front-runner Luka Doncic looks right at home in the NBA. The 19-year-old is averaging an impressive 19.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in his first year in the league.

On the other hand, the Rockets still haven’t quite hit their straps this season and are coming off a really disappointing overtime loss to the struggling Wizards on Tuesday. Even with James Harden dropping 54 points the Rockets still couldn’t get the job done. Their record now stands at 9-10 for the season, which amazingly has them in this last position in the Western Conference standings.

It seriously baffles me that the Rockets come into this one as such short favourites with the injury troubles that they have, as well as the form they’re in. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the Mavs win this, so getting them with a 6.5-point headstart is terrific value.

Mavericks +6.5 Handicap
