Sandown-Hillside Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 2nd 2026

Race 1: Sportsbet Jockey Watch Plate 1500m – 1:10pm AEST

(2) Boys Bounce was visually impressive on debut over 1200m as the three-year-old colt hit the line strongly for third. It was a Soft 7 track for that run, and with potential rain leading up to and on race day, the wet shouldn’t be an issue here. From the inside gate, jockey Jye McNeil can be positive and he should appreciate the step up in trip to the 1500m. Ticks a lot of boxes for his second-up run.

(5) Zoucity also finished third on debut after the gelding ran at Geelong over 1225m on a Heavy 8 track. Much like Boys Bounce, a wet track won’t bother the horse. It will be interesting to see if they snag back or elect to roll forward at the start. Looks the main danger in the race.

(2) Boys Bounce

$2.20 (3 units)

Race 3: Sportsbet BlackBook Handicap 1300m – 2:20pm AEST

(3) Greenwich Boy is one of three runners in the race to record victory at their only race start. The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding scored by a half-length at Geelong over 1225m on a Heavy surface. He should be right on the speed from barrier two and after last start’s triumph, he looks hard to beat in search of back-to-back wins.

(1) Somethings Burnin’ is having his second preparation and the colt immediately showed improvement winning a maiden at Sandown-Lakeside. He could settle midfield in the small field and will be ready to strike.

(3) Greenwich Boy

$2.90 (2 Units)

Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 2nd 2026

Race 5: Farnan @ Vinery Stud Handicap 1400m – 3:55pm AEST

(13) Asilah carries one of the lightest weights in the race with 55.5kg. She rises in grade after finishing third in a Benchmark 64 Handicap at Newcastle where the run was full of merit. The lightly raced mare has run consistently in all three career starts and her sectional times read well. She will need some luck in running from midfield or worse but should be finishing strongly in the race.

(11) Queen’s Gamble ran a pair of seconds to begin her campaign before the filly broke through in a Super Maiden, defeating Satin Serenade which looks a good scalp. There’s no reason she can’t go on with it now and looks a huge threat.

(13) Asilah

$4.80 (1 Unit)

Belmont Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 2nd 2026

Race 1: Western Racepix Handicap 1000m – 1:49pm (3:49pm AEST)

(3) So Si God finished fifth at her first run back from a spell, beaten 3.63 lengths in a Westspeed Platinum Handicap. She will strip fitter and meets easier opposition this time around which is a positive. The smaller field should suit and she gets a 3kg claim to drop back to 57kg. On paper, this looks So Si God’s race to lose.

(4) Guarantor has won once from 11 starts, but last start was an encouraging effort from the gelding. If he runs similar here, he is good enough to topple the favourite.

(3) So Si God

$2.00 (3 units)

Race 2: Quayclean Maiden 1400m – 2:24pm (4:24pm AEST)

(10) Vampi Queen finished strongly for third in a maiden last start at Bunbury over 1400m. Brad Parnham rode her well but she found the winner a bit too slick. Clint Johnston-Porter picks up the ride and has ridden two Belmont winners from his last eight rides at the track. She has been runner-up when racing second-up from a spell and looks to have strong claims in the race.

(13) Believe Again is making his debut for Grant and Alana Williams. Willie Pike will ride the three-year-old and he is already familiar, riding him in all three trials. He may simply be too good for them, so I am looking forward to his debut effort.

(10) Vampi Queen

$3.70 (1.5 Units)
