Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, July 18th 2026
Race 6 – Ranvet BM78 - 1200m (2:10pm AEST)
(2) Ticklebelly – 5YO mare who has been building nicely throughout this preparation and looks primed again for a nice run. She is rock hard fit, remains in similar company and receives a nice little advantage at the weights with the 3kg claim engaged. Drawn to receive a nice run up on the speed and she should get every opportunity from the soft map. With conditions to suit and plenty in her favour, she appeals as an excellent each-way play at the current quote.
(3) Sword Of Legacy – 3YO Filly who I was keen on last start and she was plonked in the market at Eagle Farm and won accordingly. Nash retains the ride and she looks capable of measuring up again for this. Only concern is the tricky map. Worth thought.
(5) Jellicious – 4YO Mare who hasn’t been up to her best this campaign, but showed improvement last start and gets another good set up here. Drawn well and gets Tommy Berry into the saddle. Early market support is appealing. Value pick.
(2) Ticklebelly E/W
$10/$3.00 (0.5U/2.5U)
Race 7 – Schweppes Handicap – 1100m (2:45pm AEST)
(2) Way To The Stars – 7YO gelding who gets a nice race here. Drawn pole position and may be able to dictate. Conditions suit and enjoys this track/trip. Chance.
(3) Aviatress – 5YO Mare who is ex R&C Jolly in SA and spent a bit of time in Vic with a handy record to her name including a Group 3 win. This is her first run in Sydney and going clockwise, but record is sound and more than capable of giving this a shake. Proven on the soft deck and over this trip. Each way.
(4) Roselyn’s Star – 4YO gelding who put together a very consistent campaign last preparation, culminating in an impressive Group 3 victory to close it out. He resumes here after a 16-week break but has been given two solid barrier trials to prepare and has looked sharp in both, suggesting he has returned in excellent order. Drawn to advantage, he maps to enjoy the perfect run just behind the speed, with the noted leaders drawn to his outside likely allowing him to slot into an ideal stalking position. ICE KOOL shapes as the horse to beat and is clearly a talented galloper with plenty of upside, but the map suggests he may require a touch of luck from his draw. In contrast, Roselyn's Star brings proven black-type credentials, race fitness through his trials, and a far more favourable map. At the current odds, he appeals as the value runner in the race and looks capable of winning this.
(10) Ice Kool – 3YO Gelding who has been excellent and boasts a pretty handy CV 5:4-0-0. He will once again have plenty of admirers and continues to improve. Loves the conditions and deserves to be favourite. Happy to watch at the price though.
(4) Roselyn’s Star WIN
$5.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 9 – Toyota Forklifts Winter Challenge LISTED – 1500m (4:05pm AEST)
(2) General Salute – 5YO Gelding who was deserving a win last start and saluted accordingly at a nice price for the punters. Rock hard fit now and remains on the soft track where he has an excellent record. Capable of another bold run. Nash to steer.
(8) Midnight Dynamite – 4YO gelding who has been racing extremely well with 3 wins and a second and third from 5 runs in this prep. Gets another winnable race here, drawn to effect and Tommy Berry steers for Bjorn Baker. Early market support has been promising and looks to be the one they all need to beat.
(15) Seafall – 5YO Mare who has been racing well and rates nicely for this affair. Light weight, pole position and soft conditions all suggest she is a good chance at big odds. Worth thought. Blow out hope.
(8) Midnight Dynamite WIN
$3.10 (2.5 Units)
