Flemington hosts racing this Saturday and it's a pretty good program too with the first of 9 races getting underway at 11:55am (AEST). The Flemington Community Plate and the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour races look to be the best two races of the day and they come up in races 7&8 on the card which are in the quaddie legs. The track is predicted to be a Soft7 and my three best bets of the day are below!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, June 6th 2026
Race 5: 20 years of Living Legends Trophy 1400m - 2:10pm (AEST)
(2) Duchess Zou We have tipped on the site her last couple of starts where she was 10th at Bendigo and let us down two starts back before winning last start at Hillside which was on A Soft7 and she gets that again here. She is a previous Flemington winner but she does have to carry more weight this time.
(4) First Chorus also one for us last start and she loves racing on wet ground. From her three starts over this distance she has two wins and a 2nd. Big chance again.
(1) Miss Aria We have tipped on the site a few times but I think we are running at a loss with her. She gets an easier race here but is the top weight (63 down to 60kg) and always seems to find traffic on the way home to the finish line. Big odds though at 14-1. Danny O’Brien has a good strike rate at Flemington but must be losing patience with her.
(2) Duchess Zou WIN
$3.20 (2 units)
Race 7: Flemington Community Plate 2000m - 3:20pm (AEST)
(10) Shockletz has won 3 from 6 starts when on Soft ground and has won at Flemington before. Ran on well for 3rd at Bendigo in the Golden Mile and made up ground again (4th) over the 1800m last start. Looks ready for another crack at the 2000m. Is third up from a spell and has won when third up previously. Has a good winning strike rate having won 6 from 14 starts.
(2) Zahrann ran on well for 3rd at Flemington last start but my worry is that he prefers dry ground. Has won second up before and may go forward from barrier 11.
(15) Starzintheireyes is the fav and is an import who ran on well for 3rd at Randwick last start. He gets weight relief here and he is already proven over this distance.
(10) Shocletz WIN
$4.80 (2 units)
Race 9: Kooza - Now On At Flemington 1200m - 4:34pm (AEST)
(5) Midtown Boss loves Flemington and usually goes very well when second up. He has raced in much harder races than this but the problem is he hasn't won in two years. An Each-Way bet will be best and he is likely to get back in the run and put in one sustained effort from the 300m. Second time on top for Logan Bates.
(8) Steel Move is very fit and does like racing over this distance. Barrier 2 might be a slight concern later in the day because they do tend to come down the outside in the straight races, particularly those that are in the last couple of races on the card.
(14) Xarpo Might be suited out there in barrier 11 and she might go forward in this race. She drops weight and she's won 2 from 4 races over this distance.
(5) Midtown Boss Each-Way
$9.00/$2.80 (0.5 Units)
