The NBA Western Conference Finals are tied 1-1 after the Thunder responded and took care of business in Game 2. The series now heads to San Antonio Spurs as they host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 on Saturday (AEST). Here is our preview and best bet for Game 3!

NBA Playoffs Betting Tips: Saturday, May 23rd 2026
Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs (10:30am AEST)
The two best teams in the West are delivering through two games. The San Antonio Spurs took Game 1 122-115 after playing two overtime periods. Victor Wembanyama finished with 41 points and 24 rebounds. In Game 2, it was back-to-back MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropping 30 points and nine assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 122-113 victory.
There are injury concerns on both sides. De’Aaron Fox has missed both games so far for the Spurs and is questionable to play Game 3, along with teammate Dylan Harper. For the Thunder, Jalen Williams is battling another hamstring injury and is also questionable for the game. Fortunately, the Thunder have grown accustomed to playing without Williams this season and others have stepped up during his absence.
Alex Caruso has been a menace so far in this series, scoring 31 points in the opener and then 17 points in the most recent. Known primarily for his defense, this must be a welcome addition for the Thunder. Their bench scoring was phenomenal in Game 2 with Ajay Mitchell, Jared McCain, Cason Wallace, and Caruso all finishing in double digits.
One thing that must improve for the Spurs is turnovers. Stephon Castle alone has had 20 turnovers in the first two games, the most in NBA Playoff history for a two-game span. If the team commits anywhere near 20 again here, the Thunder are going to walk away comfortable winners.
The Thunder are a good road team and with the potential of both Fox and Harper either missing or playing through injury, SGA, Chet Holmgren and the Thunder can head to Texas as slight underdogs and walk away with the win.
