Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, April 15th 2026
Race 4: Racing And Sports BM78 2400m - 2:35pm (AEST)
(1) Casual Connection: 7YO Gelding who was far from disgraced over 1800m last start on the wet track. Remains at this grade and gets in okay after a 3kg claim. 2400m looks ideal and he is 2 from 2 at the track/trip. Drawn well and will have admirers.
(6) De Louviere: 5YO gelding who has been racing well and is an honest type. Dominant winner 2 back over this trip in BM68 grade winning by 3L. Beaten just over a length over 2200m in this grade last start. Back to 2400m now, drawn well and Zac Lloyd rides. Top pick.
(6) De Louviere Win
$2.30 (3.5 Units)
Race 7: Vinnie @ Yarraman BM78 1100m - 4:20pm (AEST)
(2) Skyglider: 3YO colt who showed he has ability when winning a listed race by 1.5L and then buttered up in a Group 1 only finishing 5L behind them. Has had 23 weeks off and will only be improving as he goes along. Draws a nice gate and gets the booking of J-Mac. Major player
(4) Golden Straand: 4YO who had a pretty handy campaign notching up 3 wins and 2 seconds late time round. Likely to only further improve and will be there abouts.
(6) Crepe Myrtle: 4YO Mare who was very good last prep with the 2 wins and 2 seconds. Likely to improve and has trialled well leading in. Yet to score first up but goes well at this trip and Zac Lloyd has a good relationship on top. Value pick.
(6) Crepe Myrtle Win
$5.50 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Headwater @ Vinery Stud BM78 1600m - 4:55pm (AEST)
(2) Montpellier: The UK horse who has been sound in his two Australian runs finishing 3rd on both occasions. Draws a handy gate and will be improving 3rd up. The mile now looks like the right call now after his first two runs. Goes well.
(11) Strawberry Impact: 4YO gelding who finds it tough to win and only has the sole win to his name, but he has been very genuine and has place a further 9 times from the 13 career starts. He has a good second up record and looks over the odds here. Tim Clark gets the booking and I’m happy to have a small play at the price. Each way.
(11) Strawberry Impact E/W
$11/$3.50 (1U/2U)
