Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, December 20th 2025
Race 4:Macquarie St Social BM72 1300m - 2:20pm (AEDT)
(1) Ripley: Has been freshened since competing soundly in some strong races and returns off a solid trial, suggesting he’s ready to fire. Draws a favourable gate which should allow him to settle into a handy position, and Jason Collett retains the ride. Profiles as the leading chance and looks very hard to beat.
(3) Plaintiff: Unbeaten from two career starts and has to be given serious consideration again. The awkward draw may require a touch of luck in running, but her talent is undeniable. Chad Schofield taking the ride is a definite positive and she remains a major threat.

Race 7: Asahi Super Dry BM94 1100m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Terra Mater: An intriguing roughie with a strong CV. While her most recent campaign was disappointing, her form prior was very solid. Proven at this track and distance and boasts an excellent second-up record. Capable of sharp improvement and warrants respect at generous odds.
(2) Zealously: Outstanding first-up when breaking the track record before being run down by the high-class Ray Magnerio next start. That form has since been well and truly franked with Ray Magnerio claiming the Gold Rush in WA. Well placed to bounce back and rates a major contender.
(10) Kings Secret: This fella has already stamped himself as a horse with plenty of upside. Has a pretty tidy record already with 4 wins and 4 placings from 9 starts. He returned in strong order over this trip in BM78 grade lugging 60.5kg and getting caught wide, but showed a nice turn of foot and closed intently from the rear to finish behind the front runners who had a much softer run. Expected to improve sharply off that run and albeit the rise in grade he gets compensated with only 52.5kg on his back. Zac Lloyd steers and will have plenty of admirers. Looks a talented type. Goes well.

Race 8: Toyota Forklifts BM100 1400m - 4:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Sandpaper: Has been below his best so far this preparation and hasn’t quite returned in the form we know he’s capable of. Expected to improve fourth-up, and the booking of Joshua Parr for Bjorn Baker from a soft draw adds confidence. If allowed to roll to the front and control the tempo, he could prove very hard to run down. Blow-out chance.
(4) Know Thyself: A remarkably consistent galloper with seven wins from just eleven starts. Always gives a strong account of himself and boasts an outstanding record at this venue (2 from 2) and over the distance (4 from 5). The wide draw is the main query, but expect another honest performance at appealing odds.
(14) Just Party: Produced a terrific effort last start after being caught wide throughout, yet still surged late to narrowly miss. His sharp closing sectionals backed up the visual impression. While he can be hard to win with, that run suggests he’s ready to break through. Draws a much kinder gate, carries a favourable weight, and should be charging home late. Deserves top billing.
(14) Just Party WIN
