Perth Wildcats vs Tasmania JackJumpers

Friday 9:30pm AEDT (Nov 21), RAC Arena

The Perth Wildcats (7-5) return to RAC Arena riding a two-game win streak, having dispatched the Breakers by 13 points last outing. They face a Tasmania JackJumpers side (5-8) in desperate need of a spark after a staggering five consecutive losses, all of which came on their home floor.

In a massive boost for the JackJumpers, star import David Johnson is cleared to return from injury, having been sidelined since their Round 1 victory over this very opponent. Johnson's presence will be crucial as Tassie looks to snap their skid and prove they can turn things around and still compete for a Championship in NBL26. The JackJumpers have defeated the Wildcats in their last two meetings - in Round 1 (95-84 in Tasmania) and on their last trip to Perth (75-72).

Both teams are dealing with key omissions, with the Wildcats still without point guard Jaron Rillie and the JackJumpers missing big man Will Magnay. The 'Cats are favourites, but Johnson’s return and Tasmania’s strong head-to-head history suggest this could be a tight contest. Look for the JackJumpers to bring the fight and potentially cover the +6.5 spread in a closely fought battle.

Cairns Taipans vs New Zealand Breakers

Saturday 5:30pm AEDT (Nov 22), Cairns Convention Centre

NBL26 Round 10 pits the struggling Cairns Taipans against the New Zealand Breakers in what promises to be a battle for momentum heading into the FIBA break. The Taipans are anchored to the bottom of the ladder at 3-11, having dropped a dismal 10 of their last 11 contests. While they showed a flicker of life in a recent overtime thriller, consistency remains a massive issue.

The New Zealand Breakers (4-10) sit just above the Snakes but come into the match in relatively better form, having won two of their past five games. More critically for this matchup, the Breakers hold a commanding psychological edge, boasting seven consecutive victories against the Taipans.

With Parker Jackson-Cartwright dictating tempo and the Breakers' frontcourt posing a significant challenge to Cairns’ shallow big-man rotation, the odds are firmly stacked against the home side. For Cairns to break the slump and the head-to-head drought, they’ll need a huge performance from star Jack McVeigh and a significant defensive turnaround. However, based on current form and history, expect the Breakers to secure another vital win on the road.

South East Melbourne Phoenix vs Adelaide 36ers

Saturday 8:00pm AEDT (Nov 22), John Cain Arena

Saturday night in Round 10 serves up a major top-of-the-table clash as the third-placed South East Melbourne Phoenix (9-3) host the second-placed Adelaide 36ers (10-3) in a collision of in-form heavyweights. Both clubs are riding a significant wave of momentum, making this a crucial test of their title ambitions.

The 36ers hold the mental edge from their mid-October meeting, a dominant 17-point victory in Adelaide. However, the Phoenix, coached by Josh King, have evolved significantly since that loss. King’s roster depth has shone, allowing the Phoenix to deploy multiple elite defenders to try and contain Adelaide's superstar, Bryce Cotton. Restricting Cotton’s influence will be the critical strategic key to turning the tables.

The Phoenix's home court advantage at John Cain Arena will be essential, backed by a potent offence led by their dynamic guard tandem in Owen Foxwell and Nathan Sobey. This matchup hinges on whether Adelaide's powerful frontcourt can dominate the paint, or if the Phoenix's improved perimeter defence and ball movement can unlock a higher-scoring victory. Expect a fierce, back-and-forth contest, but with their home crowd behind them and a strategic defensive plan under King, the Phoenix are poised to get their revenge.

Tasmania JackJumpers vs Sydney Kings

Sunday 2:30pm AEDT (Nov 23), MyState Bank Arena

Round 10 of NBL26 presents another massive challenge for the Tasmania JackJumpers (5-9) as they host the surging Sydney Kings (7-5). The JackJumpers are in a state of freefall, having extended their losing streak to six straight with a 6-point defeat to the Wildcats in Perth. Compounding their woes is a concerning five-game losing streak on their home court.

The Kings, meanwhile, are finally hitting their straps under Brian Goorjian. They arrive in Tasmania with four consecutive wins, including a comprehensive 27-point thrashing of the Hawks in their last outing, demonstrating improved defensive cohesion and team balance.

This matchup sees two teams heading in opposite directions. The JackJumpers desperately need a statement win to reignite their season and snap their home hoodoo. However, with the Kings playing their best basketball, looking locked in defensively and firing offensively, the visitors enter as strong favourites. Expect Sydney's momentum to prove too much for the struggling JackJumpers.

Melbourne United vs Perth Wildcats

Sunday 4:30pm AEDT (Nov 23), John Cain Arena

One of the NBL's most intense rivalries reignites at John Cain Arena as the ladder-leading Melbourne United (12-2) host the surging Perth Wildcats (8-5). United enters on a high, having clinched a nail-biting 105-102 victory over the Hawks in their first Round 10 outing. The Wildcats, sitting fourth, also notched a win, taking down the JackJumpers 101-95.

History favors the home side, with United holding a dominant recent record against the 'Cats, and their superior depth is expected to be a key factor. Melbourne's potent attack and well-rounded rotation should be able to expose Perth's current vulnerability at the point guard position due to key injuries, specifically Jaron Rillie being sidelined for eight weeks.

This game is also set to feature a captivating clash in the paint as Perth's marquee signing, former United champion Jo Lual-Acuil Jr., returns to face his old club. While the Wildcats have found a strong run of form, covering the -5.5 line looks achievable for a United side that continues to prove its championship credentials. Expect a high-scoring, intense affair that solidifies United's position at the top.

Melbourne United -5.5

$1.91 (1 Unit)
